A three day (26.03.2018-28.03.2018) industrial visit was organized by Department of Fish Process Engineering, CoFE for IInd and IIIrd year BE(FE) students in Thoothukudi district viz., (i) M/s. Pearl city Marine products, (ii) MPEADA Regional office, (iii) M/s. Theva Sea foods, (iv) M/s. Vitality Aqua products Pvt. Ltd., (v) M/s. Amulya Sea foods Pvt. Ltd. and (vi) M/s. Britto sea foods export Pvt. Ltd., Thoothukudi. The students were exposed to shrimp processing and packaging techniques, fish meal processing plant, crab meat processing, pasteurization and canning techniques and kanava processing plant. Dr. N. Manimehalai (Associate Professor) and Dr. R. Brimapureeswaran (Assistant Professor) accompanied the students and coordinated the tour.
