An awareness program was conducted under NADP scheme on the topic “Business Opportunities in value added fish products” on 27 th March 2019 in Fish Processing Incubation Facility, College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapattinam. This program was headed and started by Prof. G. Jeyasekaran, Dean and College of Fisheries Engineering. He emphasized the importance of consuming seafood and its effect on human health. Professor K. Rathnakumar was explaining the scope of fish processing and its business opportunities in India. Importance of production of various types of value added fish products was explained by Dr. N. Manimehalai. Dr. P. Karthickumar further proceeded with the program on explaining the facilities required for large scale production and marketing strategies. Furthermore, the college students were shown around the facility and explained regarding the uses of fish processing equipment. Nearly 40 students from A.D.M. College for women, Nagapattinam attended and benefitted from this awareness program. The programme was coordinated by Dr. P. Karthickumar.
மதிப்பூட்டப்பட்ட மீன் பொருட்களின் தொழில் வாய்ப்புகள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு முகாம்
நாகப்பட்டினம் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தினுடைய உறுப்புக் கல்லூரியான மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் கல்லூரியின் கீழ் இயங்கும் மெட்ரோ மீன்பதன தொழில்நுட்பக் கூடத்தில் “மதிப்புக்கூட்டப்பட்ட மீன் பொருட்களின் தொழில் வாய்ப்புகள்” பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு முகாம் 27.03.2019 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இம்முகாமை கல்லூரி முதல்வர் பேராசிரியர் ஜி. ஜெயசேகரன் அவர்கள் தொடங்கி வைத்து கடல் உணவின் மருத்துவ குணம் மற்றும் மீன் மதிப்பூட்டலின் முக்கியத்துவம் பற்றி எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் கடல் உணவினால் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகள் பற்றி பேராசிரியர் கு. ரத்னகுமார் அவர்கள் விளக்கினார். மதிப்பூட்டப்பட்ட கடல் பொருட்களை உருவாக்கும் முறை பற்றி செயல் முறை விளக்கம் கண்காணிக்கப்பட்டது. அதற்கான வசதிகளை இணைப்பேராசிரியர் நா. மணிமேகலை அவர்கள் விளக்கினார். உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மதிப்பூட்டப்பட்ட மீன் பொருட்களை எவ்வாறு சந்தைப்படுத்துவது என்பது பற்றி முனைவர் ப. கார்த்திக்குமார் எடுத்துரைத்தார். இவ்வசதியை பயன்படுத்தி தொழில் முனைவோர்களாக முன்னேற மாணவர்களிடம் அழைப்பு விடுத்தார். மேலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு குளிர்பதன அறை மற்றும் மீன்பதனத்திற்கு பயன்படும் இயந்திரங்கள் ஆகியவை காண்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இம்முகாமில் நாற்பது கல்லூரி மாணவிகள் பங்கு கொண்டு பயனடைந்தனர். இவ்விழிப்புணர்வு முகாமிற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை முனைவர் ப. கார்த்திக்குமார் மற்றும் செல்வி அ. ஹோசன் ரிச்சி ரோஸ் ஆகியோர் செய்தனர்.
