The College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam conducted an awareness programme on proper waste disposals on April 03, 2019. The programme was presided by Dr. K. Rathnakumar. Dean i/c, College of Fisheries Engineering. In his speech, he emphasized the unhealthy disposal of solid waste is one of the important problems in many societies and waste recycling is considered as a solution for managing solid wastes. Also, he stressed that, the Waste Management is a great challenge to the environmental sustainability, it not only shows the challenge but also it shows the social handicap. Dr. M. Ramar, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer welcomed the gathering.
