An inaugural function of the Students' Association for the academic year (2019-
20) was conducted on 27 th September 2019 at the College of Fisheries Engineering,
Nagapattinam. The programme was started with an invocation and lightening the
traditional lamp. The Students' Association was inaugurated by Dr. R. Rajendran, Dean
and President of Students' Association. He addressed about the role and responsibilities
of students and faculty members in the growth of the College and also he explained
about the quality of the leadership. The gathering was welcomed by Mr. R. M.
Devasennan, General Secretary, Students Association. He declared the various Club
secretaries viz., Literary Club Secretary as Mr. M. Gowthaman, Fine Arts Club Secretary
as P. B. Skadlin Rose, Science Club Secretary as Mr. R. Gokul Raj, Sports Club Secretary
as Mr. M. Devaraj, Eco Club Secretary as Miss. K. Subikshaya, NSS Club Secretary as
Miss. P. M. Jayameera, Blood Donation Club Secretary as Miss. R. Vani, Editor as Miss.
S. N. Kopperundevi and stated the annual workplan 2019-20 of the Students'
Association. All secretaries have taken the oath to put their efforts for the college
welfare. Along with that cultural events like solo classical, solo singing and group dance
performed by students of four batches. Miss. R. Vani, Blood donation club Secretary
delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Er. R. Regupathi, Vice
President, Students Association and the programme was ended with the National
Anthem.
