The College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam celebrated International Women’s Day on 08 th March 2020 at the college premises. Er.C.Mercy Amrita welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. Rajakumar, Dean in-charge, College of Fisheries Engineering and Dr.K.Rathnakumar Professor & Head, Department of Fisheries Science. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. M. Rajakumar and he insisted the value and achievements of women in various fields. He also encouraged the women to work towards the progress of this college. On this celebration, various events were conducted by the title “Women Empowerment” to encourage all the women of this college. The programme was ended by women’s Run 2020 - Running Competition for women staff and students of the institute. The winners received certificates for the Women Run 2020 running Competition. The programme was organized by Er.C.Mercy Amrita and Er.D.Babiyola Assistant Professor College of Fisheries Engineering. Er.D.Babiyola thanked the gathering.
