Nagapattinam May 21 2018: The 27 th anniversary of martyrdom of former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, also
known as Anti Terrorism Day was observed at College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu
Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam on 21 st May 2018. This day was
celebrated to create awareness among different sections of people regarding the danger of
terrorism and violence and its ill effect on the people. Dr. M.Nagoor Meeran, Dean (i/c),
College of Fisheries Engineering and Director of Extension Education presided the event at
the college premises, took the pledge along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of
College of Fisheries Engineering. The pledge said, "We, the people of India, having abiding
faith in our country's tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to
oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence".
