College of Fisheries Engineering, a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Dr J Jayalalitha Fisheries University, Nagapattinam took a great initiative of a Mass Tree plantation event in the college campus on 28.07.2021. The event was organised by the NSS unit and the Students’ Association of College of Fisheries engineering in co- ordiantion with ICAR- Nodal cell, TNJFU, Nagapattianm. The event was inaugurated by the Respected Vice Chancellor, Dr. G. Sugumar by planting a tree. Followed by trees were also planted by the Registrar, Dr. A. Srinivasan; Controller of Examination Dr. P. Jawahar; Director of Research, Dr. G. Jeyasekaran; Director of Extension Education, Dr. M. Rajakumar; Estate officer, Er. C. Nambirajan; and Finance officer, V.S. Anbarasu. On behalf of CoFE, Dr. N. Manimehalai, Dean (incharge), Dr. M. Ramar NSS coordinator and P. SanthoshKumar, General secretary- CoFE student’s association also planted trees. The students, teaching and non-teaching staffs and contractual workers of CoFE also planted the trees during this Mass tree transplantation event. A total of 75 trees were planted inside the college campus during this event. Dr. N. Manimehalai, Dean (in-charge) expressed her heartfelt thanks for the support rendered by ICAR – Nodal cell of TNJFU for their support in the successful conduct of the tree plantation event.

G. சுகுமார் அவர்கள் சொர்க்கம் மர கன்றினை நட்டு ஆரம்பித்து வைத்தார். அதை தொடர்ந்து பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பதிவாளர், முனைவர். A. சீனிவாசன்; தேர்வு கட்டுப்பாட்டு அலுவலர், முனைவர். P. ஜவஹர்; ஆராய்ச்சி இயக்குனர், முனைவர். G. ஜெயசேகரன்; விரிவாக்கக் கல்வி இயக்குநர், முனைவர். M. ராஜகுமார்; உடைமை அதிகாரி, பொறியாளர். C. நம்பிராஜன் மற்றும் நிதி அலுவலர், V.S. அன்பரசு அவர்கள் மர கன்றுகளை நட்டனர். பின்பு மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் கல்லூரியின் சார்பாக முதல்வர்(பொறுப்பு), முனைவர். N. மணிமேகலை அவர்கள், நாட்டு நலப்பணி குழுவின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர். M. ராமர் மற்றும் மாணவர் சங்கத்தின், பொது செயலாளர் P சந்தோஷ்குமார் ஆகியோரும் மர கன்றுகளை நட்டனர். கல்லூரியில் பயிலும் மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள், அலுவலர்கள் மற்றும் ஒப்பந்த பணியாளர்கள் அனைவரும் இந்த நிகழிசியில் மர கன்றுகளை நட்டனர். கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் மொத்தமாக 75 மரங்கள் நடப்பட்டன. இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியானது சிறப்பாக நடைபெற துணை நின்ற , ICAR- Nodal Cell, TNJFU, Nagapattinam அமைப்பிற்கு மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர்(பொறுப்பு), முனைவர். N. மணிமேகலை அவர்கள் கல்லூரியின் சார்பாக நன்றியினை தெரிவித்து கொண்டார்.
