College of Fisheries Engineering has celebrated ‘Engineers Day’ on 17.09.2021 organized by the Students’ Association 2021. The event started with Tamizhthai Vazhthu and lightning the lamp. The welcome address was given by the final year student Ms. K. Geetha. The Presidential address was given by Dr.N.Manimehalai, Dean In-charge, CoFE. She spoke about the role of engineers for a healthy planet. Following her Dr. P. Karthickumar, Assistant Professor of DFPE and Advisor of Technical Event club, talked about five successful engineers. Then Dr. D. Kesavan, Assistant Professor & Head of DBS, addressed the students about the important of Engineers. Technical Event club conducted four online virtual competitions such as Drawing, Idea contest (E-Poster), Teaching Contest and Story Telling. The prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions during this function. The event ended with vote of thanks by technical event club secretary Mr. R. Surendran.
