College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapattinam participated in the four days exhibition (18 th October, 20 th October to 22 nd October 2021) that was organized to commemorate the start of Nagapattinam district 30 years back. Value added fishery products viz., pickles (fish and prawn), chutney powder (fish and prawn), bakery products (cake and biscuit), extruded products (ready to cook product like pasta, noodles and ready to eat fish corn puff), solar dried fishes and retort processed ready to serve fish curry, prawn curry and crab soup were displayed and kept sale during the event. The Hon’ble Collector of Nagapattinam Dr. A. Arun Thamburaj, Mr. AKS Vijayan, Special Representative to Tamil Nadu Government in New Delhi, MP Selvarasu, and MLAs Aloor Shanavas and Nagai Mali and others along with other officials visited the stall of CoFE-TNJFU on 18.10.2021. Dr. P. Karthickumar, Assistant Professor explained the potential value added fishery products to them. More than 2500 farmers, entrepreneurs and public visited the stall.
