An one day workshop was conducted for Fisher folks at College of Fisheries Engineering on 06.06.2023. This program started with the inaugural function, Mr. Jeyaraj Additional Director Fisheries and Mr. Faheemul Islam Business Development lead Dronix Technologies Private Limited was the chief guest of the workshop. The presidential address was given by Dr.N.Manimehalai, Dean College of fisheries Engineering. The first session was about Advancement in Fisheries Sector using Drones and handled by Er. C. Mercy Amrita. Mr. Faheemul Islam followed by demo of takeoff and halt of Drones. The second session was handled by Er. D. Babiyola Energy savings in Fishing Crafts followed by third session on Basics in navigation by Dr. Mohd Tanveer and Fourth session by Mr. Samuel Mosess on Fish Harvesting Technology, final session is handled by Er.Muthukrishnan on Fishermen safety at sea.Participants were exposed to devices like SONAR,GPS Navigation and safety measure life jackets. 46 No of Fishermen participated in the workshop. The Program was coordinated by Er. C. Mercy Amrita and Er.D.Babiyola Assistant Professors, Department of Basic Engineering.
