Guest lecture on “Advancement in Unmanned aerial vehicle”

College of Fisheries Engineering organized a one day seminar on “Advancement in Unmanned aerial vehicle" on June 06, 2023 in III B.Tech classroom (Fisheries Engineering). The students of III year B. Tech (Fisheries Engineering and Energy & Environmental Engineering) were invited for the guest lecture. The guest lecture focused on autonomous communicating nodes, aerial relays, or even aerial base stations (BSs), and strongly support the conventional networks in propagation scenarios with obstacles and highly mobile and remote network nodes. The programme started at 2:30 pm with the opening remarks and introduction of the programme was given by Er. C. Mercy Amrita, Assistant Professor. She highlighted the applications of drones in the area of disaster and crisis management, agricultural, transportation, environmental monitoring, remote sensing, and healthcare services. Dr. N. Manimehalai, Dean i/c, CoFE highlighted the importance of the drone in the field of Fisheries.

Subject and Industry Expert Mr. Faheemul Islam, Dronix Technologies Private Limited, Chennai was invited for the Guest lecture. He shared his knowledge on the importance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to modern warfare has become manifest in recent days. He shared his experience on several scientific and technical challenges exist for enabling the successful and long-term operation of UAV-aided communication networks in highly dynamic and heterogeneous environments. The students were given exposure with real time environment on operation of drones. The programme wrapped up around 4:30 pm. The concluding remarks and vote of thanks was given by Er. D.
