The College of Fisheries Engineering, TNJFU, Nagapattinam, celebrated the 79 th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. Dr. N. Manimehalai, Dean (i/c), commenced the celebrations with the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the national anthem. The Dean advised students and staff to work for the betterment of the country and contribute positively to its growth. Students and
faculty members gathered to pay tribute to the nation and its freedom fighters. Certificates were awarded to students who excelled academically. Students of CoFE recited patriotic poems, expressing their love for the nation. Dr. P. Karthickumar, Assistant Professor and Vice-President of the Students’ Association of CoFE, coordinated the event. Overall, the celebration highlighted the significance of independence and the importance of unity in diversity.
