Visit of Thiru. C. Ponnaiyan, the Vice Chairman of Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission and honorable (ex) Minister TNJFU Madhavaram campus facilities

Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission sanctioned a total budget of 16.209 crores to Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa Fisheries University for the implementation of the schemes “Establishment of Aquatic Rainbow Technology Park” (10.305 crores) and “E-Fish health surveillance and monitoring network to improve fisheries production in Tamil Nadu” (5.904 crores) under Tamil Nadu Innovation Initiate (TANII). Advanced infrastructure facilities for fish breeding, livefood production and a laboratory with the state-of-art facility have been created with this funding support at TNJFU-Madhavaram Campus, Chennai – 51. 

The Vice Chairman of Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission and honorable (ex) Minister, Thiru. C. Ponnaiyan visited the facilities on 05.11.2020 and reviewed the progress and achievements made in these schemes. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of TNJFU, Dr. G. Sugumar, Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, Dr. MGR FC&RI, Ponneri the Principal investigators of the schemes, Dr.K.Ravaneswaran, Dr. A. Uma, and officers from State Planning Commission were also present.
