VC, TNJFU inaugurated new laboratory facilities at Dr.M.G.R FC & RI, Ponneri

Dr. G. Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam visited Dr. M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri on 04.11.2020. During the visit, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated the new laboratory facilities at FC & RI, Ponneri. The new infrastructural facilities include microbiology laboratory in the Department of Fish Processing Technology, Wet labs of the Department of Aquaculture and Department of Aquatic Animal Health Management. Heads of the aforesaid departments successfully organized the inauguration ceremony. The Vice Chancellor also visited all the departments of the institute and interacted with the faculty for further improvements in the respective departments. Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean of the institute accompanied the Vice Chancellor during the visit and briefed the ongoing activities in the institute.
