Training programme on Culture of Asian seabass using Recirculating Aquaculture system

A five day training programme funded by NADP on Culture of Asian seabass using Recirculating Aquaculture system was held at Dr.M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute from 2.11.2020 to 6.11.2020. The inauguration programme was held on 2.11.2020. Dr.C.B.T. Rajagopalasamy, Professor and Head, Department of Aquaculture welcomed the gathering. Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean, Dr.M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri presided over the function. Mr. G. Ajay Anand, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Thiruvallur was the chief guest of the function. Twenty numbers of trainees from different parts of Tamil Nadu participated in the training programme. A field visit was arranged to the Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Muttukadu and Directorate of Vocational Training in Aquaculture, Muttukadu on 4.11.2020. The theory and practical classes were handled by ten resource persons from different Departments of Dr.M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri. The valedictory function was held on 6.11.2020 and Dr.B. Ahilan, Dean and Dr.C.B.T. Rajagopalasamy, Professor and Head distributed the certificates to the participants.
