Virtual Training on Biofloc Technology based Tilapia and Shrimp culture

The Department of Aquaculture & Department of Fisheries Extension, Economicsand Statistics (DFEES) of Dr. MGR FC & RI, Ponneri jointly organized a three days virtual training on “Biofloc Technology based Tilapia and Shrimp culture" from 9 th to 11 th ,
November 2020. Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean of the institute, inaugurated the training in the presence of Dr. C. B. T. Rajagopalasamy, Professor & Head, DAQ and delivered the first technical lecture of the training. The three days virtual training had 15 technical lectures delivered by faculty of DAQ, DAEM, DAAHM, DFEES of the institute as well as invited lectures of Programme Coordinator, KVK, Sikkal and Er. B. Suryakumar, CEO, Hitide sea farm, Mahendrapally. The virtual training was attended by 30 participants who include 27 participants from Tamil Nadu and the remaining are from Kerala, West Bengal and Karnataka respectively. The training had an exclusive doubt clearing session, in which the trainees clarified their doubts with the experts who delivered technical lectures in the training. The training concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Lloyd Chrispin C, Assistant Professor, DFEES who coordinated the training.
