International Women’s Day Celebration at Dr. M.G.R. FC & RI, Ponneri

International Women’s Day celebration was held on 08.03.2021 at Dr. M.G.R Fisheries College & Research Institute, Ponneri. Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean of the College, delivered the Presidential address. Mrs.S. Swarna Bai, Headmistress of Minjur Panchayat Union Middle School, was the event's Chief Guest, and she was proud to have received the National Award for "The Best Teacher." She gave the keynote address and a briefing on the importance of women's roles in everyday life. Final-year students arranged the various events, which included activities such as cooking, fun games, dance, and a debate on the subject "Do women have their freedom in this society?" which was judged by Dr. D. Manikandavelu, Vice President of the Students Association. The Dean of the Institute and Chief Guest of the event presented prizes to the winners of the various competitions.
