PMMSY Awareness Webinar Report

The Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics (DFEES), Dr. MGR FC & RI, Ponneri organized National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) funded awareness webinar entitled “Harnessing 'PMMSY' scheme for aquapreneurship development in Tamil Nadu" on 16.09.2021. Mrs. S. Agnes Daney Angela, Assistant Professor and Head, DFEES welcomed the gathering. The webinar was inaugurated by Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean i/c of the institute. The technical session had three technical lectures. Tmt. N. Chandra, Executive Director (Technical), NFDB was the first speaker who gave insight into PMMSY for fisheries sector developement. The first lecture was followed by lecture of Thiru. R. Ravichandran, Deputy Director of Fisheries, Govt. of Tamil Nadu who talked about ‘PMMSY initiatives in Tamil Nadu’. In the final presentation of the webinar, Thiru. S. Kazhugaashalamoorthy, Chief Merchandising Officer, Kemia Industries Limited briefed about ‘DPR preparation for availing PMMSY project’. Mrs. S. Agnes Daney Angela, Assistant Professor and Head, DFEES served as the Organizing Secretary of the webinar. The webinar ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. C. Lloyd Chrispin, Assistant Professor, DFEES who coordinated the webinar. A total of 227 participants registered for the webinar from various parts of the Tamil Nadu and actively participated in the question and answer session of the webinar.

‘பிரதான் மயதிரி மட்சய சம்படா யோஜனா’ (PMMSY) இணையவழி விழிப்புணர்வு கருத்தரங்கு

பொன்னேரி டாக்டர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் (எம்.ஜி.ஆர்.மீ.க.ஆ.நி) மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம், பொருளியியல் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறை (மீ.வி.பொ.பு துறை), தேசிய மீன்வள மேம்பாட்டு முகமை (தே.மீ.மே.மு) பொருளுதவி புரியத ‘பிரதான் மயதிரி மட்சய சம்படா யோஜனா (ஞஆஆளுலு)’ பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு கருத்தரங்கினை 16.09.21-ல் இணையவழி நடத்தியது. மீ.வி.பொ.பு துறை தலைவர் திருமதி. சா. ஆக்னஸ் டானி ஏஞ்சலா வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். பொன்னேரி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் (பொ) மற்றும் இயநிகழ்ச்சியின் அமைப்பாளராகிய, முனைவர். ப. அகிலன் இக்கருத்தரங்கின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை விளக்கி துவக்க உரையை வழங்கினார். இவ்விணையவழி கருத்தரங்கில் தேசிய மீன்வள மேம்பாட்டு முகமையின் தொழில்நுட்ப இயக்குனர் திருமதி சூ. சயதிரா; தமிழக அரசு மீன்வளத்துறையின் துணை இயக்குநர், திரு. சு. ரவிச்சயதிரன் மற்றும் திரு. ளு. கழுகாசலமூர்த்தி தலைமை விற்பனை அதிகாரி, கெமியா நிறுவனம் - சென்னை, ஆகியோரின் மூன்று சிறப்புரைகளின் மூலம் ‘ஞஆஆளுலு’ திட்டத்தை குறித்து இக்கருத்தரங்கின் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அனைவரும் தெளிவாக அறியது பயனடையதனர். இக்கருத்தரங்கை, மீ.வி.பொ.பு துறை தலைவர் திருமதி. சா. ஆக்னஸ் டானி ஏஞ்சலா, அமைப்பு செயலாளர் அவர்களால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. இறுதியாக, இக்கருத்தரங்கை ஒருங்கிணைத்த முனைவர். லாய்ட் கிறிஸ்பின், உதவி பேராசிரியர், மீ.வி.பொ.பு துறை அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார். இக்கருத்தரங்கில், மொத்தம் 227 பேர் தமிழகத்தின் வெவ்வேறு பகுதிகளில் இருயது பதிவு செய்து கருத்தரங்கின் கேள்வி பதில் நேரத்திலும் மிக ஆர்வமாக கலயதுகொண்டனர்.
