“World Fisheries Day – 2021 & 75 th Anniversary of Indian Independence on 20.11.2021 and 22.11.2021.

NSS unit & Students association of Dr. M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri have organized “World Fisheries Day – 2021 & 75 th Anniversary of Indian Independence celebration on 20.11.2021 and 22.11.2021 in commemoration of World Fisheries Day. On 20.11.2021, the programme was inaugurated and lead by Mr.Velan, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Thiruvallur @Ponneri in the presence of, Dr. D. Manikandavelu, Dean i/c. In the first day, students were actively participated in competitions like elocution on the “National and International scope for students who studied fisheries in Tamil medium” and drawing on impact of climate change on Fisheries.

In the second day (22.11.2021), Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean i/c inaugurated the World fisheries day’21 program by delivering inaugural address. Dr.Cheryl Antony, Professor and Vice president of Student Association welcomed the gatherings. Subsequently, four special lectures were organized and delivered by Mr.Selvin Jayakumar, Department Manager (HR), M/s. CP Aquaculture, Chennai on the topic of “An introduction to CP Aquaculture”, Mr. M. Premraj, Assistant Vice-President, M/s. CP Aquaculture, Chennai on the topic of “Advanced Nursery Techniques”, Mr. P. Ephrem, JP Aquatics, Chennai on “The rise of aquarium industry and future scope, and Dr. K. Karl Marx, (Former Professor, TNJFU) Rhea Fish Farm, Thiruvallur on the topic of “Entrepreneurship opportunities in Fisheries”. Students and staffs of Dr.MGR FCRI, Ponneri with all the COVID-19 precautions [wearing mask and using sanitizer] actively participated in the program.The program were dedicated to increase the awareness about the sustainable use of fishery resource and environment issues. Mr. R. Velmurugan, NSS Programme officer and Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks and coordinated the entire programme.

டாக்டர். எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில், உலக மீன்வள தினம் மற்றும் 75 வது இந்திய சுதந்திர ஆண்டு விழா 20.11.2021 மற்றும் 22.11.2021 ஆகிய இரண்டு தினங்களில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. 20.11.2021 அன்று மாணவர்களுக்கு, கால நிலை மாற்றத்தால் மீன்வளத்தில் ஏற்படும் தாக்கம் குறித்த தலைப்பில், ஒவியப் போட்டியும், தமிழ்வழியில் மீன்வளம் பயின்றால் உள்நாடு மற்றும் வெளிநாடுகளில் வேலைவாய்ப்பு குறித்த தலைப்பில் பேச்சு போட்டியும், திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்ட மீன்வள உதவி இயக்குனர் திரு, வேலன் அவர்கள் தலைமையில் நடத்தப்பட்டது. 22.11.2021 அன்று முனைவர். ப. அகிலன், முதல்வர், பொறுப்பு அவர்கள் உலக மீன்வள தின சிறப்புறை ஆற்றி விழாவை தொடங்கிவைத்தார். முனைவர். செரில் ஆண்டனி, பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் மீன்வளப்புத் துறைத் தலைவர், வரவேற்ப்புறை வழங்கினார். இதனை தொடர்ந்து இறால் வளர்ப்பில் மேம்பட்ட நாற்றங்கால் நுட்பங்கள் குறித்த உரை திரு. பிரேம்ராஜ், துணைத் தலைவர், சி.பி. மீன்வளப்பு நிறுவனம் அவர்களால் வழங்கப்பட்டது. அதனை தொடர்ந்து, திரு. எஃப்ரம், நிருவனர், ஜெ.பி. மீன்வளர்ப்பு பண்ணை, சென்னை அவர்கள், அலங்கார மீன் பண்ணை அமைத்தல் மற்றும் அதில் உள்ள தொழில் வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்த உரையும், முனைவர். காரல்மாக்ஸ், பல்கலைக்கழத்தின் முன்னால் பேராசிரியர், அவர்கள், மீன்வளர்ப்பில் தொழில் முனைவோர்களுக்கு உள்ள வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்த சிறப்புறையும் வழங்கினார். திரு. ரா. வேல்முருகன், உதவி பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் நிகழ்ச்சி தொகுப்பாளர் அவர்களின் நன்றியுறையுடன் விழா முடிவுற்றது.
