“Deep-sea fishing techniques for small scale scheduled caste fishermen of Pulicat coast”

Dr.M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri, a constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University organized Training on “Deep-sea fishing Techniques for small scale scheduled caste fishermen of Pulicat coast” on 29.12.2021 with the funding support of NFDB. The inaugural ceremony began at 10.00 am in the Madras Socoal Service Society’s conference hall. Mr.R.Velmurugan, Assistant Professor, DFTFE, Dr.M.G.R FC&RI, Ponneri welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean, Dr.MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri.

Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean, Dr.MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri in his presidential address appreciated the faculty of the institute for organizing the event and emphasis the gathering about importance of Deep-sea fishing towards development of fishing sectors of the state. Training session began with presentation by on “Current Scenario of Deep-sea fishing and their developmental status in Tamil Nadu”. Schedule of the training had a total of four presentations revolving around the various aspects of development of Deep-sea fishing. Mr.M.kalaiarasan, Assistant Professor, DIVF, Ramanathapuram, and Mr.Johnson from Thoothukudi were the prominent speakers in the training. The technical session was followed by panel discussion in which the participants mainly the stakeholders of Pulicat lake came together to clarify their doubts in devising Deep-sea fishing technologies and its allied necessary techniques with the experts who delivered lecture in the workshop. About 100 (Fishermen from Pulicat Coast) participated in the event. The training was concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.D.Arun Jenish, Assistant Professor, DFT&FE and Coordinator of the Training Programme.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைகழகத்தின் ஒர் அங்கமான பொன்னேரி; டாக்டர்.எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மூலம் தேசிய மீன்வள மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையத்தின் நிதியுதவியுடன் “பழவேற்காடு பகுதியிலுள்ள பராம்பரிய மீன்பிடி சமூகத்தை சேர்ந்த மீனவர்களுக்கிடையே ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடி தொழில்நுட்பத்தை ஊக்குவித்தல்”; என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு நாள் பயிற்சி 29.12.2021 அன்று நடத்தப்பட்டது. பயிற்சியின்; துவக்க விழாவில் உதவி பேராசிரியர் திரு.ரா. வேல்முருகன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை அளித்தார். கல்லூரியின் முதல்வரும் பயிற்;சியின் அமைப்பாளருமான முனைவர் ப.அகிலன் அவர்கள் துவக்க உரையாற்றி தொடங்கி வைத்தார். கல்லூரியன் முதல்வர் அவர்கள் முனைவர் ப.அகிலன் அவர்கள்ரூபவ்அவரது துவக்க உரையில்ரூபவ் இந்த நிகழ்வினை நடத்தும்; ஆசிரியர்களைப் பாராட்டினார். மேலும் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை பற்றி விளக்கியேதோடு மாநிலத்தின் மீன்பிடித் தொழிலை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கென அரசு மேற்கொண்டு வரும் நடவடிக்கைகளையும் சுட்டிக்காட்டினார்.

டாக்டர்.எம்.ஜி.ஆர் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் பொன்னேரியின் மீன்வளத் தொழில்நுட்ப துறையில் பணிபுரியும் உதவி பேராசிரியர் திரு.ர.வேல்முருகன் அவர்கள் தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பில் தற்போதயை நிலைமையும் மற்றும் அதனை மேம்படுத்தும் முறைகளும் என்ற தலைப்பில் உரையாற்றினார். மேலும் இராமநாதபுரத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்டு செயல்பட்டு வரும் மீன்வள தொழில்காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழிற்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகத்தில் பணிபுரியும் உதவி பேராசிரியர் திரு.மு.கலையரசன் அவர்கள் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடி படகுகளில் உபயோகப்படுத்தப்படும் உபகரணங்கள் மற்றும் விளக்கு சமிக்கைகள் பற்றி உரையாற்றினார். மூன்றாவதாக தூத்துக்குடியை சேர்ந்த ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பில் ரூடவ்டுபடும் மீனவரான திரு.ஜான்சன் அவர்கள் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பில் அவரது அனுபவத்தை பற்றி மீனவர்களுக்கிடையே பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். பயிற்சியின் இறுதியாக பழவேற்காடு மீனவர்கள் மற்றும் உரையாற்றிய வல்லுநர்களும் இணைந்து கலைந்துரையாடல் ஒன்றை மேற்கொண்டனர். பழவேற்காடு பகுதியிலுள்ள மீனவக் கிராமங்கலிருந்து 100 மீனவர்கள்; பயிற்சியில் கலந்துக்கொண்டனர். பயிற்சியாளர்களும்ரூபவ் உதவி பேராசியர்களுமான திரு.மு.கலையரசன் மற்றும் திரு.ரா.வேல்முருகன் அவர்களும் சான்றிதழ்களை மீனவர்களுக்கு வழங்கினர். பயிற்சியின் ஒருங்கிணையாளரும்ரூபவ் கல்லூரியின் மீன்பிடித்தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையின் உதவிப்போரசியருமான திரு.டே.அருண்ஜெனிஸ் அவர்கள் நன்றி;யுரை கூற பயிற்சி இனிதே நிறைவுற்றது.
