National Science Day Celebration, Dr.M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri

The students of 3rd year B.F.Sc 2019-20 batch, Students Association, Dr.M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri organised the National Science Day celebration based on the theme of 2022 as "Integrated approach in science and technology for
sustainable future" on 28.02.22. The programme was supported by Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean and President of Students Association and Dr.Cheryl Antony, Vice President of Student's Association and the Students Coordinator Mrs.Agnes Daney Angela . Competitions like Essay writing and Drawing were conducted on the forenoon. The official program commenced by 4 pm with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Mr.J.Castro, Former Senior Manager, TNFDC, Chennai was the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. Around 35 students
participated in the competitions. A brief introduction on the theme and on the program was given by Dr.Cheryl Antony. This was followed by the Chief Guest address and the Presidential address was delivered by The Dean and President, Students Association. Following this a Debate competition was conducted on the theme “Production for Quantity or for Quality “. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners by the Dean. The event ended with the vote of thanks by the 3rd year students.
