Dr. M.G.R. FC&RI, Ponneri conducted NSS special camp at Kannankottai village (23 - 27 March 2022)

The five days NSS special camp for the IV year B.F.Sc students was inaugurated
on 23rd March 2022 by Dr. Cheryl Antony, Dean-in-Charge of the institute in the
presence of Mr.Govindasami, Village President, Kannankottai and Mr. R. Velmurugan,
NSS Programme Officer. The camp lasted for five days and the students were involved
in the following activities:
In the First day (23.03.2022), Students interacted with people of Kannankottai village
and created awareness about the camp activities. After the inauguration of the camp
students involved in activities like cleaning of Govt. High School campus and temples in
Kannankottai village. While cleaning, the volunteers focused on collection of plastics
from the surroundings and created awareness among villagers about plastic pollution
and its impact on environment. In the Second day (24.03.2022), Veterinary camp was
conducted in the village with the support of Dr.U.N Saravanan, Veterinary Assistant
Surgeon, kannankottai. Villagers brought around 100 ruminants for vaccination.
In the Third day (25.03.2022), medical camp assisted by Dr.Daniel Educational and
Medical Trust, Gummidipoondi was conducted for the benefit of village people. A total
of 120 people were benefitted in this camp. The Medical trust distributed medicines to
the needy people at free of cost. Dr.Angel, MBBS & DGO delivered a lecture on
personal hygienic practices to XI

th & XIIth girl students of Kannankottai High School. In
the Fourth day (26.03.2022), tree plantation program was conducted with the
sponsorship of Nethaji Tree Bank, Ponneri. A total of 50 tree saplings were planted at
various places in the village. Suitable guidance and awareness was given to the village
people about importance of tree plantation and its maintenance.
In the Fifth day - (27.03.2022), skill development training on fish pickle preparation was
conducted by the students. About 50 women from the village actively participated in the
demonstration and gained practical knowledge on fish pickle preparation.
Mr.J. Raj kumar, Ms. U. Shobika served as the NSS Student Representatives for
this five days camp, who were guided by Mr.R.Velmurugan, NSS Programme officer of
the Institute.

நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட சிறப்பு முகாம்

இளநிலை மீன்வளப் பட்டப்படிப்பு நான்காம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்களுக்கான நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட
சிறப்பு முகாம் 23.03.2022 முதல் 27.03.2022 வரை கும்மிடிப்பூண்டி தாலுகா கண்ணன்கோட்டை
கிராமத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியினை (கல்லூர்pயின் முதல்வர் பொறுப்பு) முனைவர். செரில்
ஆண்டனி அவர்களால் திரு. கோவிந்தாமி கண்ணன்கோட்டை ஊராட்சி மன்ற தலைவர் மற்றும் திரு.
ரா.வேல்முருகன் நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட அலுவலர் ஆகியோர் முன்னிலையில் துவக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது. முகாம்
நடைபெற்ற ஐந்து நாட்களில் மாணவர்கள் கீழ்கண்ட நலப்பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டனர்.
முதலாம் நாளான 23.03.2022 அன்று கண்ணன்கோட்டை கிராம மக்களிடம் மாணவர்கள் கலந்துரையாடி
முகாம் நடவடிக்கைகளை குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தினர். மேலும் கண்ணன்கோட்டை அரசு மேல்நிலைப்
பள்ளி மற்றும் கிராமத்தின் கோயில்களில்; துப்புரவுப்பணி; மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு நெகிழி
பயன்பாட்டைக் குறைக்கவும் குப்பைத் தொட்டிகளின் பயன்பாட்டை மேம்படுத்தவும் கிராம மக்களுக்கு
விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இரண்டாம் நாளான 24.03.2022 அன்று கிராமத்தில் கால்நடை
மருத்துவ முகாம் கண்ணன்கோட்டை கால்நடை உதவி மருத்துவர் ரு.N சரவணன் அவர்களின்; உதவியுடன் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
தடுப்ப10சி போடுவதற்காக கிராம மக்கள் சுமார் 100 கால்நடைகளுக்கும் மேல் கொண்டு வந்து பயனடைந்தனர்.
மூன்றாம் நாளான 25.02.2022 அன்று கிராம மக்கள் நலனுக்காக டாக்டர். டேனியல் கல்வியியல்
மற்றும் மருத்துவ அறக்கட்டளையுடன் இணைந்து இலவச மருத்துவ முகாம் நடத்தப்பட்டது. முகாமில் இலவசமாக அனைத்து வகை
மருந்துகளும் வழங்கப்பட்டது. மொத்தம் 120 நபர்கள் இம்முகாமில் பயனடைந்தனர். மேலும் மகளிர் சிறப்பு
மருத்துவர் ஏஞ்சல் அவர்கள் கண்ணன்கோட்டை அரசு மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் உள்ள பதினொன்று மற்றும்
பன்னிரெண்டாம் ஆண்டு மாணவிகளுக்கு தனிப்பட்ட சுகாதார மேம்பாடு குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு வகுப்பை
நடத்தினார்கள். நான்காம் நாளான 26.03.2022 அன்று மரம் நடும் விழா பொன்னேரி நேதாஜி
மரவங்கியின் நிதியுதவியுடன்;; கண்ணன்கோட்டை கிராம பள்ளி மற்றும் கோவில் வளாகங்களில்;
நடத்தப்பட்டது. கிராம மக்களும் மாணவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து உற்சாகமாக மரக்கன்றுகள் நடும் பணியில்
ரூடவ்டுபட்டனர். (நாவல்; விலா புங்க) போன்ற சுமார் 50 மரக்கன்றுகள் இம்முகாமின் மூலம் நடப்பட்டது.
ஐந்தாம் நாளான 27.03.2022 அன்று கண்ணன்கோட்டை கிராமத்து மகளிர்களை திரட்டி மீன் ஊறுகாய்
தயாரிக்கும் தொழில்நுட்ப செயல்முறை பயிற்சி நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சியில் கிராம மகளிர்
அனைவரும் ஆர்வத்துடன் கலந்து கொண்டு மீன் ஊறுகாய் தயாரிப்பதை கற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
ஐந்து நாள் நடைபெற்ற இம்முகாமில் நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்ட மாணவப் பிரதிநிதிகளான செல்வன்.
