PONSHRIMP 22

Dr. M.G.R Fisheries College and Research Institute (FCRI), Ponneri, a constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) organized its annual National Workshop “PONSHRIMP’ 22” in the theme ‘Shrimp culture towards reassuring environment and nutrition sustainability’ on 30.11.2022. In the inaugural ceremony, Dr. R. Jeya Shakila, Dean, Dr.MGR FC&RI, Ponneri and Convener of PONSHRIMP’22 welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. K. Ambasankar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIBA by lighting the traditional lamp in the presence of Guest of Honour, Thiru. Velan, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Ponneri and other delegates. In his inaugural address, Dr. K. Ambasankar briefed about the importance of the theme of the event and appreciated the institute’s effort on organizing such a ‘need of the hour’ event. The inaugural session concluded with the proposal of vote of thanks by Mrs. Nimish Mol Stephen, Co-convener of the event.

Technical session began with the presentation of Dr. K.P. Kumaraguru Vasagam (Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIBA) on ‘Biofloc based nursery and grow out farming’ followed by the Dr. K. Ambasankar’s (Principal Scientist & SIC, ICAR-CIBA) lecture on ‘Indigenous cost effective feeds for sustainable aquaculture’. Dr.M.Muralidhar, Principal Scientist & SIC, ICAR- CIBA delivered a lecture on ‘Water quality management for environmentally sustainable shrimp culture’. Dr. A. Uma, Professor and Head, FCRI, Ponneri spoke on the importance of disease management in shrimp farming. Mr. G. Jayapalan, Deputy Director In-charge, Export Inspection Agency, Chennai gave a presentation on ‘Regulatory process for the export of shrimp’.

In the sponsor’s session, representatives from private companies such as Sheng Long Bio-Tech (India) Pvt Ltd, Growel Feeds Pvt Ltd, Bentoli Agrinutrition India Pvt Ltd, Rybax restaurant and Iyarkai Tech Lab Pvt. Ltd briefed about their products and services for the development of the sector. Success story of a Kayalagam incubatee on shrimp/fish retail cold store unit marked the end of the technical session. The technical session was followed by panel discussion in which the participants mainly farmers clarified their doubts in shrimp culture with the experts who delivered lectures. A total of 130 participants including farmers representing from different parts of the State along with the faculty and students attended the programme.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைகழகத்தின் ஒரு அங்கமான டாக்டர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையமானது, வருடாந்திர தேசிய அளவிலான “பொன்இறால்’ 22” என்னும் பணிப்பட்டறையை, “சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் ஊட்டச்சத்து நிலைத்தன்மையை உறுதியளிக்கும் இறால் வளர்ப்பு” என்னும் கருப்பொருளில் 30.11.2022 அன்று நடத்தியது. இந்நிகழ்வின் துவக்க விழாவில், கல்லூரியின் முதல்வரும், இந்நிகழ்வின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளருமான முனைவர். இரா. ஜெயஷகிலா அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். இந்நிகழ்வானது, இந்திய வேளாண் ஆராய்ச்சி கழகத்தின் மத்திய உவர்நீர் நீருயிரி வளர்ப்பு நிலைய முதன்மை விஞ்ஞானி முனைவர். கே. அம்பாசங்கர் அவர்களால், திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்ட மீன்வள உதவி இயக்குநர் திரு. கோ. வேலன் மற்றும் இதர பேராளர்களின் முன்னிலையில் குத்துவிளக்கேற்றி தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது. முனைவர். கே. அம்பாசங்கர் அவர்களது தலைமை உரையில், இந்நிகழ்வின் கருப்பொருளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை விரிவாக கூறியதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், காலத்திற்கேற்ற இந்நிகழ்வை வருடந்தோறும் நடத்தும் கல்லூரியின் முயற்சியையும் பாராட்டினார். இந்நிகழ்வின் இணை - ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளரான திருமதி. நிமிஷ் மோள் ஸ்டீபன் அவர்களின் நன்றியுரையுடன் துவக்க நிகழ்ச்சி நிறைவுற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வின் தொழில்நுட்ப அமர்வானது, “உயிர்கூழ்ம அடிப்படையிலான நாற்றாங்கால் மற்றும் வளர்ப்பு பண்ணைகள்” என்ற தலைப்பில் முனைவர். கே.பி. குமாரகுரு வாசகம் (முதன்மை விஞ்ஞானி, இந்திய வேளான் ஆராய்ச்சி கழகம் - மத்திய உவர்நீர் நீரூயிரி வளர்ப்பு நிலையம்) அவர்களின் உரையுடன் தொடங்கியது. அதனை தொடர்ந்து, முனைவர். கே. அம்பாசங்கர் (முதன்மை விஞ்ஞானி, இந்திய ஆராய்ச்சி கழகம் - மத்திய உவர்நீர் நீரூயிரி வளர்ப்பு நிலையம்) “வளங்குன்றா நீரூயிரி வளர்ப்பிற்க்கான செலவு குறைந்த உள்நாட்டு தீவனங்கள்” என்பதை குறித்து உரையாற்றினார். முனைவர். எம் முரளிதர், (முதன்மை விஞ்ஞானி, இந்திய வேளான் ஆராய்ச்சி கழகம் - மத்திய உவர்நீர் நீரூயிரி வளர்ப்பு நிறுவனம்) அவர்கள் “வளங்குன்றா சுற்றுசூழலிற்க்கான இறால் வளர்ப்பு நீர்தர மேலாண்மை” என்ற தலைப்பில் உரையாற்றினார். பேராசிரியரும், கல்லூரியின் நீர்வாழ் உயிரின நல மேலாண்மைத் துறையின் தலைவருமான முனைவர். ஆ. உமா அவர்கள், “இறால் வளர்ப்பில் நோய் மேலாண்மையின் முக்கியத்தியத்துவத்தை” குறித்து பேசினார். இறால் ஏற்றுமதியின் ஒழுங்குமுறைகள் குறித்து சென்னையின் ஏற்றுமதி ஆய்வு நிறுவனத்தின் இணை இயக்குநர் (பொறுப்பு) திரு. ஜி. ஜெயபாலன் அவர்கள் விளக்கவுரையாற்றினார். நிதியுதவி அளித்தவர்களுக்கான அமர்வில், செங்லாங் பயோடெக் (இந்தியா), குரோவல் ஃபீட்ஸ், பென்டோலி அக்ரி நியூட்ரிஷன் (இந்தியா), ரைபாக்ஸ் உணவகம் மற்றும் இயற்கை டெக் லேப் போன்ற தனியார் நிறுவனங்களின் பிரதிநிதிகள் தங்கள் நிறுவனங்களின் தயாரிப்புகள் மற்றும் இறால் வளர்ப்பில் அவர்களின் சேவைகளை குறித்தும் விவரித்தனர். இறுதியாக, கயலகம் பயனாளியின் வெற்றிகதையுடன் தொழில்நுட்ப அமர்வானது முடிவடைந்து, அதனை தொடர்ந்து குழு விவாதம் நடைபெற்றது. அதில் இறால் வளர்ப்போர் அவர்களது சந்தேகங்களை, உரைகள் வழங்கிய இறால் வளர்ப்பு நிபுணர்களுடன் விவாதித்து தீர்த்துக்கொண்டனர். மாநிலத்தின் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் இருந்து வந்த இறால் வளர்ப்போர், பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் என மொத்தம் 130 பேர் இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்துக்கொண்டனர்.
