Commencement Ceremony – 2019 Organized at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

Commencement ceremony was conducted for the outgoing B.F.Sc. students (2015-16 batch) on 14.06.2019. In total, 34 students have completed their B.F.Sc. programme. This batch student participated various Inter and Intra cultural competition and brought many laurels to the Institute. On the occasion, Dr. P. Jawahar, Professor, Student’s Coordinator (2015-16 batch) welcomed the gatherings. He stressed the need to be a hard worker and advised the students to be a good ambassador of our university. Dr.Cheryl Antony, Professor, Dept. of Aquaculture felicitated the outgoing students by throwing the innovative thoughts and ideas. Dr. K. Veerabhadran, Professor, DFEES delivered the felicitation address and wished the students for their successful future. Dr.P.Velayutham, Dean i/c delivered the presidential address and congratulated the students for their achievements in academics and other co - curricular activities. The final year student, Mr. Paul Nathaniel, Mr. Kaviin and Ms. Shasti Risha presented their study tour at Malaysia from 06.05.2019 to 15.05.2019 under Dr. M. Nandhessa endowment award. During the internship programme they were guided and supported by Mr.Chanra .L. Ramprakash, CEO of Seribu Biosystems, Scott Central Service Suites, Brickfields, Kualalumpur, Malaysia, who is also an adjunct scientist of TNJFU for technological improvement for past three years. During this programme, students had visited to 3 shrimp farms, Monodon farm at Port Dickson, Vannamei farm at Kuala Selengar, and Port Dickson to familiarize the Malaysian shrimp culture practices. They were learned modern technologies in aquaculture such as “Microbubble aeration systems, Aqua mimicry” etc., and they thanked the organization and the Vice Chancellor for the travel grant and support. Ms. Manimozhi and Mr.T.Paul Nathaniel shared their cherished moments at college and hostel. The Dean i/c presented the memento to the outgoing students. The ceremony comes to an end with a vote of thanks by Ms. Manimekalai, Student’s counselor.

பட்டதாரி தொடக்க விழா – 2019 மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்,  தூத்துக்குடி

2015-2016-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டு மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கான பட்டதாரி தொடக்க விழா கடந்த 14.06.2019-ஆம் தேதி அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இந்த விழாவில் மொத்தம் 34 மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கு பட்டமளிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த கல்வியாண்டில் பயின்ற மாணவ மாணவிகள் கல்லூரிகளுக்கு இடையிலான கலை மற்றும் விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் பங்குபெற்று அதில் பரிசுகளையும் பெற்று கல்லூரிக்குப் பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளனர். இந்த விழாவில் 2015-2016-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டிற்கான மாணவ ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் பேராசிரியர். பா.ஜவஹர் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றினார். கடின உழைப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் மீன்வளம் சார்ந்த திறன்களை வளர்த்துக்கொள்வதன் அவசியத்தை எடுத்துரைத்தார். அவர்களுக்குத் தேவையான அடிப்படைக் கல்வி அளித்த இக்கல்லூரியின் பெருமையை பரப்பவும் இக்கல்லூரிக்குப் பெருமை சேர்க்க உதவுமாறும் கூறினார். மீன்வளர்ப்புத் துறையின் தலைவர் மற்றும் பேராசிரியரான முனைவர் செரில் ஆண்டனி அவர்கள் மாணவர்களை புதிய சிந்தனைகளும் திறமைகளும் படைத்தவர்களாக சிறந்து விளங்கவேண்டும் என்று வாழ்த்தினார். இதனை அடுத்து மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம், பொருளாதாhம் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறையின் பேராசிரியர். முனைவர் கோ. வீரபத்ரன் அவர்கள் மாணவர்களின் வெற்றிகரமான எதிர்காலத்திற்கு வாழ்த்துரை கூறினார்.

இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து கல்லூரி முதல்வர், முனைவர் ப.வேலாயுதம் அவர்கள் சிறப்புரை வழங்கினார். மாணவர்களின் சாதனைகளைப் பாராட்டிப் பேசினார். மேலும் கடந்த காலங்களில் இந்த மாணவர்கள் படிப்பு, விளையாட்டு மற்றும் கல்வி சார் நிகழ்வுகளில் பெற்ற பதக்கங்கள் மற்றும் பாராட்டுகளை பட்டியலிட்டு அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை மென்மேலும் சிறப்புற வாழ்த்தினார்.

மேலும், இவ்விழாவில் முனைவர் நந்தீ~ நினைவு விருது பெற்று 06.05.2019 முதல் 15.05.2019 வரையிலான நாட்களில் அயல்நாட்டு அனுபவக்கல்வி பெற்ற கவின், சஸ்டி ரிஷா  மற்றும் பால் நத்தேனியல் ஆகிய மூன்று மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர். அந்த சுற்றுலாவின்போது மலேசியாவில் கொலாலம்பூரில் பிரிக் பீல்ட் என்ற இடத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள செரிபு உயிரமைப்பபு நிறுவனத் தலைமை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி திரு.சண்ட்ரா அவர்கள். வுழிகாட்டியாக இருந்தார். அதுமட்டுமின்றி இவர் மீன்வளப் பல்கலைகழகத்தின் இணை விஞ்ஞானியாக கடந்த 3 ஆண்டுகளாக பணிபுரிந்து வருகிறார். இந்த மாணவர்கள் மலேசியாவில் இறால் வளர்ப்பு எந்த நிலையில் உள்ளது என்பதை தெரிந்து கொள்வதற்காக போர்டிக்வினல் உளள வனாமி மற்றும் பினேயஸ் மனோடான் இறால் பண்ணைக்கும்ரூபவ் கொலாசலா நகரில் உள்ள வனாமி பண்ணைக்கும் சென்ற அனுபவத்தை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர். மீன்வள வளர்ப்பில் நவீன தொழில்நுட்பமான மைக்ரோ குமிழி அமைப்பு மற்றும் அக்வா மெமிக்ரி போன்றவற்றை அனைவரும் எளிதாக விவரித்தனர். விழாவில் மாணவர் பால் நத்தானியல் மற்றும் மாணவி மணிமொழி ஆகியோர் தங்களது கல்லூரி மற்றும் விடுதி வாழ்க்கையின் மலரும் நினைவுகளை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர். பிறகு கல்லூரி முதல்வர்கள் அவர்கள் அனைத்து மாணவர்களுக்கும் நினைவுப் பரிசை வழங்கினார். இறுதியில் 2015-2016-ஆம் கல்வியாண்டு மாணவர்களின் ஆலோசகரான திருமதி.து.மணிமேகலை அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்க விழா இனிதே நிறைவு பெற்றது.
