Sea Food Exporters Meet 2019

A Seafood Exporter’s Meet is organized by Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department and Marine Products Export Development Authority at FC&RI, Thoothukudi on 23.07.2019. A total of 16 participants representing from 14 seafood processing plants from Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts participated in the meet. Mrs. N. Chandra, Joint Director of Fisheries, Thoothukudi welcomed the gathering.  Dr. P. Velayutham Dean i/c felicitated and emphasized the need for Industrial Institute collaboration to solve the emerging issues in seafood industry. Mr. P. Ganesan, Assistant Professor, Department of Processing Technology gave a talk on the requirements of a hygiene fishing harbour.   Dr. R. Jeya Shakila, Professor and Head, Department of Fish Quality Assurance and Management explained the facilities available in the TNJFU Referral Laboratory for Fish Quality Monitoring and Certification for testing safety and quality of fish.  She also explained about the services rendered by the laboratory and the training programmes that can be offered for the benefit of seafood industries.  Mrs. N. Chandra explained the facilities available in fishing harbour and other fish landing centers of Thoothukudi district.  She urged the exporters to make use of the unused facilities such as auction hall, chill room and tube ice plant of the fishing harbour.  Mrs. Anju, Assistant Director, MPEDA interacted with the exporters to express their demand for the facilities and the way for the improvement for augmenting seafood export.  The exporters requested for more sanitary facilities in the Fishing Harbour enabling them the visit of buyers, as now traceability is a major issue.  They requested for incubation facility to store the ice boxes in fishing harbours and for precooking of crabs in fish landing centers.  They came forward to utilize the auction hall, if it is made ready to handle squids exclusively. Mrs. S. Aunto Princy Vyla, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Fishing Harbour, Thoothukudi proposed the vote of thanks.

கடலுணவு ஏற்றுமதியாளர் கூட்டம் 2019

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் கடல் உணவு ஏற்றுமதியாளர்களின் கூட்டத்தை மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் தமிழ் நாடு மீன் வளத்துறை மற்றும் கடல் பொருள் மற்றும் முன்னேற்ற ஆனையம் இணைந்து 23.07.2019 அன்று நடத்தியது.  இக்கூட்டத்தில் தூத்துக்குடி மற்றும் கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள 14 கடலுணவு பதப்படுத்தும் தொழிற்சாலையிலிருந்து 16 பேர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.  இக்கூட்டத்திற்கு வந்தோரை திருமதி. நா. சந்திரா மீன்வளத் துறை  இணை இயக்குநர் வரவேற்றார்.  முனைவர் ப. வேலாயுதம் முதல்வர் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கி தொழிற்சாலை நிறுவனம் இணைந்து கடலுணவு ஏற்றுமதியில் உள்ள சவால்களை எதிர்க்கொள்வதற்கான அவசியத்தை கூறினார்.  திரு. ப. கணேசன் உதவி பேராசிரியர் சுகாதார முறையில் மீன் கையாளுதல் குறித்து எடுத்துரைத்தார். முனைவர்.  இரா. ஜெய ஹகிலா பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன் தர உறுதிபாடு மற்றும் மேலாண்மைத்துறை அவர்கள் வுதுகுரு பரிந்துரை ஆய்வகத்தின் உள்ள மீன் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் தரத்தை கண்டறியும் சோதனை குறித்து விளக்கம் அளித்தார்.  மேலும் இவ்வாய்கத்தின் சேவை மற்றும் பயிற்சி திட்டங்கள் குறித்து விளக்கம் அளித்தார்.  திருமதி. ந. சந்திரா மீன்பிடி துறைமுகம் மற்றும் மீன் இறங்குதளங்களில் உள்ள வசதிகள் குறித்து கூறினார்.  மேலும் பயன்பாட்டில் இல்லாத  ஏலக்கூடம் குளிர்பதன அறை குழாய் பனிக்கட்டி நிலையம் ஆகியவற்றை பயன்பாட்டிற்கு கொண்டுவர கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.  திருமதி. அஞ்சு உதவி இயக்குனர் கடல் பொருள் மற்றும் முன்னேற்ற ஆனையம் ஏற்றுமதியாளர்களிடம் கடலுணவு ஏற்றுமதியை அதிகப்படுத்துவதற்கு தேவையான வசதிகள் குறித்து கலந்தாலோசித்தார். ஏற்றுமதியாளர்கள் மீன்பிடி துறைமுகத்தின் சுகதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்துமாறு கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளனர். மேலும் பனிக்கட்டி பெட்டி சேமிப்பதற்கான அறையும் மீன் இறங்குதளைங்களில் நண்டுகளை சமைப்பதற்கான வசதியும் செய்து தருமாறு கேட்டுக்கொண்டனர். திருமதி. அன்டோ பிரின்சி வயலா மீன் துறை உதவி இயக்குநர் (மீன்பிடி துறைமுகம்) தூத்துக்குடி நன்றியுறை வழங்கினார்.
