Boat Driving Training Programme at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

A ‘Boat Driving Training Programme’ with the duration of three days (08.08.19, 09.08.19 and 10.08.19) was conducted by the Department of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi.  The training includes on board driving experience in the care and maintenance of OBM, demonstration of fresh water flushing of the engine after sea trip and trouble shooting of OBM

The training was given by an experienced Mechanical Engineer and Deckhands of the department with adequate lifesaving appliances. The programme was organised by Dr. N. Neethiselvan, Professor and Head, and coordinated by Mr. T. Ravikumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering,      Dr. P. Velayutham, Dean-in-charge issued the certificates to the participants.  The training is being given to the fishermen and the interested public on need basis.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையினால் ‘படகு ஓட்டுநர் சான்றிதழ் பயிற்சி’ 08.08.2019 முதல் 10.08.2019 வரை மூன்று நாட்கள் நடத்தப்பட்டது.  கடலில் படகினைக் கையாளுதல் வெளிப்பொருத்து எஞ்சினின் பராமரிப்புமுறைகள் கடல் பயணத்திற்குப் பின்னர் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய எஞ்சின் பராமரிப்பு முறைகள் மற்றும் எஞ்சின் இயக்கத்தின் போது ஏற்படும் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கான தீர்வுகள் ஆகியவற்றிய பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

இப்பயிற்சியானது தகுந்த உயிர்பாதுகாப்பு சாதனங்களுடன் அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த தளஉதவியாளர்கள் மற்றும் இயந்திரப் பொறியாளர்களால் நடத்தப்பட்டது. முனைவர் நீ. நீதிச்செல்வன் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன்பிடித் தொழில்நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறை அவர்கள் பயிற்சிக்கான ஏற்பாடுகளைசெய்தார். அத்துறையின் உதவிப்; பேராசிரியர் திரு. த. இரவிக்குமார் பயிற்சி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளராகச் செயல்பட்டார்.  கல்லூரி முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர். ப. வேலாயுதம் அவர்கள் பயிற்சிப் பெற்றவர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கினார்.  இப்பயிற்சியானது ஆர்வம் கொண்ட மீனவர்களுக்கும் பொதுமக்களுக்கும் அளிக்கப்பட்டு வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
