Fisheries College and Research Institute Celebrated Hostel Day 2018-19

The students of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi of the Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University celebrated “Hostel Day” on 21.11.2019. Hostel day ceremony was held at the Kayal Kalaiarangam of FC&RI, Thoothukudi.  Dr.S.Felix Ph.D., Vice – Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam  was the chief guest of the function. In his address, he explained the importance of extracurricular activities sports and games. He also enlighten the role of Dean academy, extracurricular activities for the students welfare. He addressed that, the  students must plan, acquire and strive hard to accomplish their goals.

          The students were divided into four houses viz. Red Gangster, Black Monster, Yellow warrior and Pink Pullingo for conducting different competitions. Boys conducted most of the competitions in their hostel, Dolphin House; while girls had their competitions in their hostel, Mermaid Castle.  The competitions were held house-wise right from the morning of the day to late evening. Entertaining competitions like Sack race, Arm wrestling, Frog race, Crocodile race, Laugh without stop, Treasure hunt, Belly boy, Eat-o-mania, Mr. Skeleton, Horse race, Balloon breaking, Dumsharat, Funny selfie, Lucky corner, Giddy Game, Tug of war and Group dance were held on that occasion. Dr.P. Velayutham, Dean i/c presided over the function. He cherished students’ contribution during this current year and stressed to utilize the given opportunities to mold one’s character and improves their inter-personal skills. He advised the students be responsible and strive hard to maintain dignity. Mr.F. Parthiban Warden of the Fisheries College and Research Institute Hostels presented the annual report of the hostels for the year 2018-2019 and highlighted the commitment to provide safe and comfortable stay for the inmates.  Prizes were distributed to the winners on the occasion by Mrs M. Chandra Joint Director of Fisheries, Thoothukudi District. The over all shield was bagged by Red Gangster is winner team.  Deputy Warden of the Girls Hostel, Mrs. Manimekalai welcomed the gathering and  the vote of thanks was delivered by the Mr. R.S. Sribalaji, Boys Hostel Secretary. Mr. R.S. Sribalaji, Boys Hostel Secretary and Ms. M. Subiththul Hassanna, Girls Hostel Secretary made all arrangements in connection with the function.  The function ended with the delightful dinner arranged by the Mess Secretaries of the boys and girls hostels, Mr. M. Sivakumar and Ms. M.J. Thamarai Selvi.

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் விடுதி நாள் விழா 2018-19

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர்.  ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 21.11.2019 அன்று விடுதி நாள் விழா கோலாகலமாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர்.  ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துனைவேந்தர் முனைவர் எஸ். பெலிக்ஸ் அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு விழாவினை சிறப்பித்தார். அவர் தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் படிப்பு சாராத மேம்பாடுட்டு செயல்பாடுகள்ää தனித்திறமைகளான விளையாட்டு மற்றும் கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை விளக்கிக்; கூறினார்.;  மேலும் அவர் பல்கலைகழகத்தில் செயல்பட்டு வரும்  படிப்பு சாராத மேம்பாடுட்டு செயலகத்தின் பங்கு குறித்து விளக்கி கூறினார்.  அவர் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் குறிக்கோளை அடைய திட்டமிடடுதலின் அவசியத்தையும் தேவையான தகுதியை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டு உயர வேண்டும் எனவும் கூறினார்.  இந்த விழாவில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் அவர்கள் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் கல்லூரியில் மீன் பதப்படுத்தும் தொழில்நுட்பம் துறையில் புதிதாக கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள கட்டிடத்தை  திறந்து வைத்தார்.  
மாணவ-மாணவியர்களை நான்கு குழுக்களாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டு  வினாடி – வினா ஓவியப்போட்டி போன்ற பல்வேறு போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. 20.11.2019 அன்று காலை தொடங்கி மாலை வரை நடத்தப்பட்டன.  சாக்கு ஓட்டம் கை பலப்பரிட்சை இடைவிடாச் சிரிப்பு புதையல் வேட்டை தொப்பைப் பையன் சாப்பாட்டு இராமன் தவளை ஓட்டம் முதலை ஓட்டம் குதிரை ஓட்டம் பலூன் உடைத்தல் அதிர்ஷ்ட மூலை கயிறு இழுத்தல் குழு நடனம் போன்ற மனமகிழ்ப் போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. நிறைவு விழா மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியின் கயல் கலையரங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. வேலாயுதம்; அவர்கள் தனது தலைமை உரையில் படிப்பறையில் கற்கும் கல்வியைக் காட்டிலும் மாணவர்கள் தங்களது விடுதிகளில் பெறும் சிறந்த அனுபவத்தின் மூலம் தனித்திறமைகளை மேம்படுத்தலாம் என்றும் கூறினார்.  மாணவர்கள் கண்ணியம் காக்க பொறுப்பு;டன் இருப்பதன் அவசியத்தையம் கடின உழைப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். விடுதிக் காப்பாளர் திரு.பா. பார்த்திபன் அவர்கள் விடுதிக்கான 2018-2019 ஆண்டறிக்கை சமர்ப்பித்தார். மேலும் விடுதியின் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் வசதியான தங்குமிடம் வழங்குவதற்கான உறுதிப்பாட்டை கூறினார். வெற்றிப் பெற்ற மாணவ-மாணவிகளுக்கு தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட மீன்வளத்துறை இணை இயக்குநர் திருமதி எம்;. சுந்திரா அவர்கள் பரிசுகளை வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார். மாணவியர் விடுதி துணைக் காப்பாளர் திருமதி. மணிமேகலை அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். ஆண்கள் விடுதி மாணவ செயலர்; ஸ்ரீபாலாஜி நன்றி உரை கூறினார். விழா ஏற்பாடுகளை ஆண்கள் விடுதி மாணவ செயலர் செல்வன் ஸ்ரீபாலாஜி; மற்றும் மாணவியர் விடுதி செயலர் செல்வி சுபைதத்துள் ஹசன்னா ஆகியோர் மிகவும் சிறப்பாகச் செய்திருந்தனர். மாணவ உணவகச் செயலர் திரு. சிவக்குமார் மற்றும் மாணவியர் உணவகச் செயலர் செல்வி தாமரைச்செல்வி  ஆகியோர்களால் சிறப்பாக செய்யப்பட்டிருந்த சிறப்பான இரவு விருந்துக்குப் பிறகு விழா இனிதே நிறைவு பெற்றது.
