Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi organized State Level FIZZOREE 2020

An inter-collegiate quiz competition “FIZZOREE 2020” was conducted at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi on 05.03.2020. The FIZZOREE is celebrated every year at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi since 1983 and the 38 th edition of the quiz competition was organized by the Students’ Association. Fourteen colleges from different regions of Tamil Nadu participated in the preliminary rounds of the quiz competition, of which, six teams were selected for the final rounds, that include Agricultural College & Research Institute (AC&RI), Killikulam, College of Food Technology, Madhavaram, Chennai, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thalaignayiru, Nagapattinam, College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapatinam and Government Siddha Medical College, Tirunelveli.

In a highly competitive nine rounds of the quiz, Agricultural College & Research Institute (AC&RI) (Killikulam) won the “Delphinus” Trophy and cash reward of Rs.3000, Government Siddha College, Thirunelveli emerged as the Runner with a cash prize of Rs.2000 followed by College of Food Technology, Madhavaram, Chennai, which won the 3 rd position reward of Rs.1000. Mrs. Griselda Issac, Vikasa School, Thoothukudi was the Quiz Master. Mrs. N. Chandra, Joint Director of Fisheries, Thoothukudi District was the Chief Guest and she awarded prizes to the winners. She explained the commitment of his industry towards developing the youth of Thoothukudi and how the knowledge and skill would shape up individuals to become successful in life. Further, she told that students must develop soft skills, personality and communication skills in their academic carrier to become experts in their field. Earlier, Dr. B. Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi who presided over the function spoke about the “Power of Knowledge” that has determined the course of human development and shaped the world. Dr. S. David Kingston, Vice-President of Students’ Association welcomed the gathering. Mr.Leeban, the Literary Association Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் கல்லூரிகளுக்கிடையேயான மாநில அளவில் நடைப்பெற்ற வினாடி-வினா போட்டி.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் கல்லூரிகளுக்கிடையேயான வினாடி-வினா போட்டி “ஃபிசோரி 2020” 05.03.2020 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இந்த “ஃபிசோரி” ஆனது 1983ம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது மற்றும் இந்த ஆண்டு வினாடி-வினா போட்டியானதுரூபவ் 38வது ஆண்டு நிகழ்வாக கல்லூரி மாணவர் சங்கத்தால் நடத்தப்பட்டது. தமிழகத்தின் பல்வேறு பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த 10 கல்லூரிகளின் மாணவர்கள் இந்த வினாடி-வினா போட்டியில் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அதில் இறுதிச்சுற்றுக்காக 6 கல்லூரிகள் முறையே வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்ரூபவ் கிள்ளிகுளம்ரூபவ் உணவு பதப்படுத்தும் தொழில் நுட்பக்கல்லூரிரூபவ் மாதவரம்ரூபவ் சென்னைரூபவ் மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்ரூபவ் பொன்னேரிரூபவ் மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்ரூபவ் தலைஞாயிறுரூபவ் நாகப்பட்டினம்ரூபவ் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் கல்லூரிரூபவ் நாகப்பட்டினம் மற்றும் அரசு சித்தா மருத்துவக் கல்லூரிரூபவ் திருநெல்வேலி ஆகியவை தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டன. இப்போட்டியின் இறுதியில் வேளாண்மை கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சிநிலையம் (கிள்ளிகுளம்); முதல் பரிசு வெற்றிக் கேடயம் மற்றும் ரொக்கப் பரிசாக 3000 தட்டிச் சென்றது. இரண்டாவது பரிசாகரூபவ் 2000யை அரசு சித்தா மருத்துவ கல்லூரிரூபவ் திருநெல்வேலிரூபவ் முன்றாவது பரிசாகரூபவ் 1000யை உணவு பதப்படுத்தும் தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்லூரிரூபவ் மாதவரம்ரூபவ் சென்னை தட்டிச் சென்றது. இந்த வினாடி-வினா போட்டியை தூத்துக்குடிரூபவ் விகாசா பள்ளியின் ஆசிரியை திருமதி. கிறிசெல்டா ஐசக் அவர்கள் சிறப்பாக நடத்தினார். பரிசு வழங்கும் விழாவில் திருமதி. என். சந்திராரூபவ் மீன்வள இணை இயக்குநர்ரூபவ் தூத்துக்குடி அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு பரிசினை வழங்கினார். மேலும் அவரது சிறப்புரையில் மாணவர்கள் படிப்பில் மட்டும் கவனம் செலுத்தாமல் வாழ்விற்கு உகந்த பயனுள்ள நல்ல பல கல்வி சார்ந்த தொழில் ரீதியான நுட்பங்களையும் படித்து அதன் வழியாக முன்னேறுவதற்கு வழி வகை செய்ய வேண்டும் என கூறினார். முன்னதாகரூபவ் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் பா. சுந்தரமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் அறிவுத் திறனை மேம்படுத்துவதின் மூலம் மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டினை உயர்த்த வேண்டும் என்று எடுத்துரைத்தார். விழாவில் மாணவர் சங்கதுணைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் ச.டேவிட் கிங்ஸ்டன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். மாணவர் இலக்கிய சங்கத்தின் செயலர் செல்வன் லீபன் நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார்.
