Intercollegiate Cultural Competition FISFEST 2019 at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi.

An Intercollegiate cultural competition was organized by the Literary Association of Students’ Association of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi on 6th March 2020.

About 500 students from 19 colleges participated in the competition. The events of the competition included, Solo Dance – classical and Western, Solo singing,  Group Dance – Folk, Rangoli, Turncoat, Paper Dressing, Chart Painting, Mime and Art from waste. The team from V. O. Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi won the FISFEST 2020 trophy and the prize money of Rs.5000/-. The participants from M.D.T Hindu College, Tirunelveli won the runner up trophy and the prize money of Rs.3000/-. The participants from Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulam won the second runner up trophy.

Dr. B. Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi presided over the valedictory function and the expressed that success or failure is a common way in life. Success will be the proud of it and the failure must learn the techniques of the failure in performance and correct it future. He also requested the participants to come prepared for achieving the goal of winning the competition in the next year.  The success of life also depends on the planning, dedication and involvement in curricular and co-curricular activities. Mr. Devendran, Chief Executive Officer of Priya Marine Products, Veravel, Gujarat was the Chief Guest and distributed prizes to the winners. In his address, he commended the role of students and youth in taking up social issues for the benefit of the community and the students are also involved in the various activities apart from the Government jobs. Every individual has the potential to do everything and so every student has to work hard to attain the life goal. Dr. S. David Kingston, Vice-President of Students’ Association welcomed the gathering. Mr.Leeban, Literary Secretary of Students’ Associations who organized and coordinated the event, gave the vote of thanks. All staff and students of the institute participated in the event.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 06.03.2020 “மீன்வளத் திருவிழா”; நடத்தப்பட்டது.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 06.03.2020 “மீன்வளத் திருவிழா” இக்கல்லூரியின் இலக்கியத் துறைமாணவர் சங்கத்தால் நடத்தப்பட்டது. இவ்விழாவில் பல்வேறு மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்து 19 கல்லூரிகளைச் சார்ந்த சுமார் 500 மாணவ மாணவியர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இந்த கலைவிழாவில் தனிநபர் ஆடல் மற்றும் பாடல் ஓவியப்போட்டி கோலப்போட்டி விளம்பரயுக்தியை கையாளுதல் தனிநபர் நடனம் குழு நடனம் தனித்திறமை வெளிப்படுத்துதல் காகித ஆடை மற்றும் கழிவிலிருந்து கலை உருவாக்குதல் போன்ற போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. இப்போட்டியில் முதல் பரிசு வ.உ.சிதம்பரனார் கல்லூரி தூத்துக்குடி சுழற்கோப்பையை வென்று ரொக்கப் பரிசாகரூ.5000ஃ- வென்றனர். ம.தி.த. இந்துக் கல்லூரி திருநெல்வேலி இரண்டாவது பரிசிற்கான கேடயத்தையும் மற்றும் ரொக்கப் பரிசாக ரூ.3000- வென்றனர். 

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் பா. சுந்தரமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் தனது தலைமையுரையில் வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றி தோல்வி என்பது பொதுவானது வெற்றி என்பது முயற்சி தன்னம்பிக்கை மற்றும் ஈடுபாடு படிப்பிலும் மற்றும் கல்வி சார்ந்த துறைகளிலும் இருப்பதாகும். தோல்வி என்பது வாழ்க்கையில் எப்படி தோல்வி அடைந்தோம் என்பதை ஆராய்ந்து அதை நிவர்த்தி செய்து அடுத்து வரும் ஆண்டுகளில் வெற்றி பயணத்தை தொடர வாழ்த்துகிறேன் என்று பேசினார். குஜராத்தைத் தலைமையிடமாகக் கொண்ட பிரியாமரைன்; தலைமை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி திரு. தேவேந்திரன் அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவ மாணவியர்களுக்கு பரிசு மற்றும் சான்றிதழ்களையும் வழங்கினார். அவர் தனது சிறப்புரையில் சமுதாயத்தில் மாணவர்களின் பங்களிப்பு பற்றியும் மற்றும் ஒவ்வொரு மாணவனும் வாழ்க்கையில் எந்த  அளவுக்கு முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்பதை வாழ்க்கை லட்சியமாக கொள்ள வேண்டும். மேலும் ஒவ்வொரு மாணவனும் தன்னுடையலட்சியத்தைஅடையகடினஉழைப்புஒன்றேஉயர்வுதரும் என்ற தாரக மந்திரத்தை கையில் கொண்டு எல்லா வளங்களும் பெற வாழ்த்தினார். மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் துணைத் தலைவர் முனைவர் சா. டேவிட் கிங்ஸ்டன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரைஆற்றினார். மாணவர் சங்க இலக்கிய அணி செயலாளர் செல்வன் லீபன் இவ்விழாவினை ஒருங்கிணைத்து நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். இவ்விழாவில் மாணவ மாணவிகள் ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் அலுவலர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
