Hostel day celebrated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

The Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi was celebrated Hostel Day in Grand Manner on 05.03.2021. The inmates of both boys and Girls hostels were divided into four teams namely, Blue Devils, Black Pirates, Red Demons and White Vampires. For both girls and boys hostel inmates, outdoor games (cricket, volleyball, throw ball), off-stage activities (arm wrestling, treasure hunt), fun games (belly boy, Mr. Skeleton, Eat-O-Mania, etc.) and onstage events (rapper, mimicry, adopt tune, group dance) were conducted. The Hostel Day celebration took place in the evening. Mr. R. Durairaja, Deputy Warden of the Boys hostel offered welcome address. Mr. R. Amal Xavier, Joint Director of Fisheries (Regional) Thoothukudi, was the event's Chief Guest. Dr. B. Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute presided over the function. Dr. R. Santhakumar, Warden, Fisheries College and Research Institute Hostels presented the Annual Report of hostel for the year 2019-2020. Mr. A. Aravinth, the hostel secretary of the boys’ hostel and Miss. A.R. Anumol, the hostel secretary of the girls’ hostel, were both recognized for their outstanding contributions.  Mr. Logesh and Miss V.S. Vagisha, Mess Managers of both hostels, were also recognised for their support in the hostels. The Chief Guest and Dean of the College awarded prizes to the winners of all the events. The Black Pirates team was the overall winner of the hostel day games, while the Blue Devils team was the runners. Mrs. D. Manimekalai, Deputy Warden of Girls hostel proposed the vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீனவர் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனம் 05.03.2021 அன்று கிராண்ட் மேனரில் விடுதி தினம் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. சிறுவர் மற்றும் பெண்கள் விடுதிகளின் கைதிகள் ப்ளூ டெவில்ஸ், பிளாக் பைரேட்ஸ், ரெட் டெமான்ஸ் மற்றும் ஒயிட் வாம்பயர்ஸ் என நான்கு அணிகளாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டனர். பெண்கள் மற்றும் சிறுவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் விடுதி கைதிகள், வெளிப்புற விளையாட்டுகள் (கிரிக்கெட், கைப்பந்து, வீசுதல் பந்து), மேடைக்கு வெளியே செயல்பாடுகள் (கை மல்யுத்தம், புதையல் வேட்டை), வேடிக்கையான விளையாட்டுகள் (தொப்பை சிறுவன், திரு. எலும்புக்கூடு, ஈட்-ஓ-மேனியா போன்றவை) மற்றும் மேடை நிகழ்வுகள் (ராப்பர், மிமிக்ரி, தத்தெடுப்பு, குழு நடனம்) நடத்தப்பட்டன. விடுதி நாள் கொண்டாட்டம் மாலையில் நடந்தது. பாய்ஸ் ஹாஸ்டலின் துணை வார்டன் திரு. ஆர். துரைராஜா வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். இந்த நிகழ்வின் முதன்மை விருந்தினராக மீன்வள (பிராந்திய) தூத்துக்குடி இணை இயக்குநர் திரு. ஆர். அமல் சேவியர் கலந்து கொண்டார். இந்த விழாவிற்கு மீன்வள கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் டீன் டாக்டர் பி.சுந்தரமூர்த்தி தலைமை தாங்கினார். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவன விடுதிகளின் வார்டன் டாக்டர் ஆர்.சந்தகுமார், 2019-2020 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான விடுதி ஆண்டு அறிக்கையை வழங்கினார். சிறுவர்களின் விடுதி விடுதி செயலாளரான திரு. ஏ.அரவிந்த் மற்றும் மிஸ் ஏ.ஆர். சிறுமிகளின் விடுதி விடுதி செயலாளரான அனுமோல் இருவரும் சிறப்பான பங்களிப்புகளுக்காக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டனர். திரு. லோகேஷ் மற்றும் மிஸ் வி.எஸ். இரு விடுதிகளின் மெஸ் மேலாளர்களான வாகிஷாவும் விடுதிகளில் தங்கள் ஆதரவுக்கு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்றார். அனைத்து நிகழ்வுகளின் வெற்றியாளர்களுக்கும் கல்லூரியின் முதன்மை விருந்தினர் மற்றும் டீன் பரிசுகளை வழங்கினர். பிளாக் பைரேட்ஸ் அணி விடுதி நாள் போட்டிகளில் ஒட்டுமொத்த வெற்றியாளராகவும், ப்ளூ டெவில்ஸ் அணி ஓட்டப்பந்தய வீரர்களாகவும் இருந்தது. பெண்கள் விடுதி துணை வார்டன் திருமதி டி.மணிமேகலை நன்றி கூறினார்.
