Celebration of Agricultural Education Day 2021 - Essay competition conducted

The Govt. of India in memory of the first Agricultural Minister of India Dr.Rajendra Prasad directs all State Agricultural Universities to celebrate Agricultural Education Day on 03.12.2021.

Agricultural Education Day was celebrated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi on 03.12.2021 by way of organizing an essay writing competition (both tamil & English) among students on the topic “Role of Agricultural Education in augmenting Indian Economy”. A total of 12 students competed with real zest. In Tamil category, Mr. Ernest E Leage of I B.F.Sc. won the first prize. Mr.Madhav of III B.F.Sc. won the first prize in English and II & III prizes won by Miss. Mahalakshmi (III B.F.Sc.) and Miss. Uma Maheshweri (III B.F.Sc.) respectively. Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean i/c distributed the certificates to the winners of the competition. The Dean i/c and staff of this institute appreciated the students for their active participation in this event.

Dr.S.Athithan, Vice-President of Student’s Association conducted and coordinated the entire event.

இந்தியாவின் முதல் வேளாண் அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் ராஜேந்திர பிரசாத் அவர்களின் பிறந்த தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு மத்;திய அரசானது அனைத்து மாநில வேளாண் அறிவியல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் “வேளாண் கல்வி தினம்” 03.12.2021 அன்று கொண்டாட வேண்டும் என்று அறுவுறுத்தப்பட்டது. இதன் காரணமாக தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “வேளாண் கல்வி தினம்” 05.12.2021 அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. இதனையொட்டி கல்லூரியில் பயிலும் மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கிடையே “இந்திய பொருளாதார மேம்பாட்டில் வேளாண் கல்வியின் பங்கு” என்ற தலைப்பில் கட்டுரை எழுதும் போட்டி (தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம்) நடத்தப்பட்டது.

இதில் மொத்தம் 12 மாணவ மாணவிகள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இதில் தமிழ் பிரிவில்ரூபவ் மீன்வள இளங்கலை முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர் செல்வன் எர்னெஸ்ட் முதலாம் பரிசை தட்டிச் சென்றார். ஆங்கில பிரிவில்ரூபவ் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர் செல்வன் மாதவ் முதலாம் பரிசையும்ரூபவ் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மாணவிகளான செல்வி மகாலெட்சுமி மற்றும் செல்வி உமா மகேஸ்வரி முறையே இரண்டாம் பரிசையும் மூன்றாம் பரிசையும் தட்டிச் சென்றனர்.

கல்லூரி முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர். ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் அவர்கள் கட்டுரை எழுதும் போட்டிகளில் (ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் தமிழ்); வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கான சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கினார். வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களை கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்கள் வெகுவாக பாராட்டினார்கள். முனைவர் சா.ஆதித்தன்ரூபவ் துணைத்தலைவர்ரூபவ் மாணவர் சங்கம் விரிவாக ஒருங்கிணைத்து நடத்தினார்.
