Awareness Training programme on “Entrepreneurship in Marine Products” at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

Under the funding support of Entrepreneurs Development Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai, the Marine Products Business Incubation Forum (MPBIF), which is being operated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, TNJFU, Thoothukudi, organized two one day awareness training programme on “Entrepreneurship in Marine Products” on 14.12.2021 and 15.12.2021for the benefits of the students of St.Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering, Nagercoil. A total of 114 beneficiaries from St.Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering attended this training programme.During the Inaugural function of this programme, Dr.P. Ganesan, Assistant Professor and Head&Project coordinator of EDII- MPBIF welcomed the gathering. Dr.R. Santhakumar, Professor and Head, DFEES, FC&RI, Thoothukudi and Mrs. S T Sheriba, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, St.Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering felicitated the programme with key notes on the nutritional aspects of fish.

The function was presided over by Dr. N.V. Sujathkumar, Dean in-charge, who stressed that progressive farmers/entrepreneurs had established their own units after attending similar training programmes given by this institute and also, he has given a talk on an overview of FC&RI, Thoothukudi during his lectures to the participants. The beneficiaries were also given special lectures pertaining to entrepreneurial opportunities, traits of fish entrepreneurs and the avenues of funding to start entrepreneurship in the marine sector. Special lectures were given by the staff of this college. The trainees visited the EDII- Marine Products incubation forum of the Department of Fish Processing Technology to know about the incubation facilities.

The valedictory function was conducted in the evening which was presided over by Dr. R. Santhakumar, Dean i/c, FCRI, Thoothukudi and he also extended his constant support and given his inputs to the beneficiaries in entrepreneurial developments and achievements. The participants registered their feedback on the conducted training program. The Dean i/c, FCRI, Thoothukudi, distributed the certificates to the participants. Dr. P. Ganesan, ProjectCo-ordinator, EDII-MPBIF, FC&RI, Thoothukudi organized this training programme.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 14.12.2021 மற்றும் 15.12.2021 அன்று “கடல் உணவுப் பொருட்களில் தொழில்முனைதல்” என்ற விழிப்புணர்வு பயிற்சியானது நாகர்கோவிலில் உள்ள செயின்ட் சேவியர் கத்தோலிக் பொறியியல் கல்லூரியைச் சேர்ந்த 114 மாணவமாணவிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சியானது சென்னையிலுள்ள தொழில்முனைவோர் மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையத்தின் நிதிஉதவியிடன் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியில் இயங்கி கொண்டிருக்கும் கடல்சார் உணவுப்பொருள் வணிக மையத்தின் வாயிலாக நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியினை முனைவர் ந.வ. சுஜாத்குமார்ரூபவ் முதல்வர் (பொ)ரூபவ் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்ரூபவ் தூத்துக்குடி துவக்கி வைத்து இப்பயிற்சியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும்ரூபவ் ஏற்கனவே இது போன்ற பயிற்சி பெற்ற பயனாளிகள் மீன்பதனம் மற்றும் அது சார்ந்த தொழிலில் தொழில்முனைவோர்களாக உருவாகி வளர்ந்து வருகிறார்கள் என்றும் கல்லூரியின் ஆலோசனைகளை பெற்று பயிற்சியாளர்கள் பயனைடயுமாறு அறிவுறுத்தினார்.

முன்னதாக முனைவர் பா. கணேசன்ரூபவ் உதவிப்பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர்ரூபவ் மீன்பதனதொழில் நுட்பத்துறை பயிற்சியாளர்களை வரவேற்றார். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் முனைவர் இரா. சாந்தகுமார்ரூபவ் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் துறைத்தலைவர்ரூபவ் மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம்ரூபவ் பொருளாதாரம் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறை அவர்கள் மீன்களின் ஊட்டச்சத்து அம்சங்கள் குறித்த முக்கிய குறிப்புகளை எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் திருமதி. எஸ.; டி.செரிபாரூபவ் உதவிப் பேராசிரியர்ரூபவ் செயின்ட் சேவியர் கத்தோலிக் பொறியியல் கல்லூரி அவர்கள் பங்கேற்று வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். பயிற்சியாளர்கள் மீன்பதன தொழில் நுட்பத்துறையில் உள்ள கடல்சார் உணவுப்பொருள் வணிகமையத்தின் வசதிகளைப் பற்றியும் மற்றும் தொழில்முனைவோர்களாவது பற்றியும் அறிந்துகொண்டனர். இப்பயிற்சியின் நிறைவு விழாவில் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர் இரா. சாந்தகுமார் அவர்கள் தலைமைதாங்கி சிறப்பித்து பின் பயனாளிகளுக்கு சான்றிதழ் வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார். மேலும் இப்பயிற்சியின் நிறைவு விழாவில் பங்கு பெற்ற பயனாளிகள் பயிற்சி பற்றிய தங்களின் கருத்துக்களை பதிவு செய்தனர். இப்பயிற்சியினை முனைவர் பா. கணேசன்ரூபவ் உதவிப்பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர்ரூபவ் மீன்பதனதொழில் நுட்பத்துறை அவர்கள் ஒருங்கிணைத்தார்.
