TNJFU INTERCOLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT CONDUCTED AT FISHERIES COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, THOOTHUKUDI (17.03.2022 to 19.03.2022)

Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) organized an
Intercollegiate Tournament 2022 at the Fisheries College and Research Institute,
Thoothukudi from 17.03.2022 to 19.03.2022. The tournament was declared open by
Dr.R.Santhakumar, Dean i/c in the presence of the Chief Guest Mr.A.Gurusamy, Vice-
President, Thoothukudi District Volleyball Association. A total of 4 games viz. Volley ball
(men and women), Kabadi (men), Badminton (men) and Table Tennis (men and
women) were conducted and 150 boys and 65 girls students actively participated from
10 constituent units of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University in the
tournament with true spirit of sportsmanship. The valedictory function held on
19.03.2022, the Chief Guest Dr.G.Sugumar Ph.D., Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU,
Nagapattinam motivated the student community and emphasized the need of sports to
maintain physical fitness, hard work to become success in life. Presidential address was
delivered by Dr.R.Santhakumar, Dean i/c, Fisheries College and Research Institute.
Th.F.Parthiban, Sports Secretary welcomed the gathering on this occasion. The awards
and medals were distributed by the Chief Guest. The Volleyball (men) was won by the
team of Dr.MGR FC&RI, Thalainayeru, where Mr.Ajith and Mr.Thiruvasagam selected as
Best attacker and Best defender respectively. Volleyball (women) won by the team of
Dr.MGR FC&RI, Ponneri where Ms.Suriya Prabha selected as Emerging Player. Kabaddi
won by the team of Institute of Fisheries Post Graduate Studies, Chennai, where
Mr.Karthikeyan and Mr.Surya Sharma selected as Best Rider and defender respectively.
Badminton (men) and Table Tennis (men and women) won by the team of FC&RI,
Thoothukudi where Mr.Vallarasu selected as Best Badminton Player, further Mr.Sri Balaji
and Ms.Madhumitha were selected as Best Table tennis players. Dr.D.Natarajan,
Assistant Director of Physical Education proposed vote of thanks. All the staff and
students were attended and encouraged the players in all the programmes.
Th.F.Parthiban, Sports Secretary and Dr.D.Natarajan, Assistant Director of Physical
Education co-ordinated the entire tournament.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் உறுப்பு கல்லூரிகளுக்கிடையேயான
விளையாட்டுப் போட்டி - 2022ரூபவ் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில்
17.03.2022 முதல் 19.03.2022 வரை வெகு சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. இதன் துவக்க நாளில்ரூபவ் இக்கல்லூரியின்
முதல்வர் (பொ) இரா.சாந்தகுமார் அவர்கள் திரு.ஏ.குருசாமிரூபவ் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட கைப்பந்து சங்கத்தின் துணைத்தலைவர் முன்னிலையில் துவக்கி வைத்தார். கைப்பந்துரூபவ் கபாடிரூபவ் இறகு பந்து மற்றும் மேடை வரி பந்தாட்டம் ஆகிய விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் 10 உறுப்பு கல்லூரிகளிலிருந்து 150 மாணவர்களும் 65 மாணவிகளும் கலந்து கொண்டு உற்சாகத்துடன் விளையாடினர். பின்னர் 19.03.2022 அன்று நடைபெற்ற நிறைவு விழாவில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார் அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு விளையாட்டு வீரர்களை உற்சாகமூட்டி இதுபோன்ற விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் விளையாடுவதால் உடல் வலிமை மற்றும் மன வலிமை பெற்று வாழ்க்கையிலும் வெற்றி பெற முடியும் என்று எடுத்துக் கூறினார். இக்கல்லூரியின்
முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர் இரா.சாந்தகுமார் அவர்கள் தலைமையுரை ஆற்றினார். முன்னதாக விளையாட்டு செயலர்
திரு.பா.பார்த்திபன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினாhர். சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு பதக்கங்களும் வெற்றிக்கோப்பையும் வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார். ஆண்களுக்கான கைப்பந்து போட்டிக்கான கோப்பையை தலைஞாயிறுவில் உள்ள டாக்டர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய அணியும் இதில் சிறந்த ஆட்டக்காரர்களாக செல்வன் அஜித் மற்றும் திரு.திருவாசகம்
தேர்வாகினர். பெண்களுக்கான கைப்பந்து போட்டிக்கான கோப்பையை பொன்னேரியில் உள்ள டாக்டர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய அணியும் இதில் சிறந்த விராங்கனையாக செல்வி சு10ரிய பிரபா தேர்வாகினார். கபாடி போட்டிக்கான கோப்பையை சென்னையிலுள்ள மீன்வள பட்ட மேற்படிப்பு மைய அணியும் இதில் சிறந்த வீரராக செல்வன் கார்த்திகேயன் மற்றும் சிறந்த பிடி வீரராக
செல்வன் சு10ர்யா சர்மா ஆகியோர் தேர்வாகினர். ஆண்களுக்கான இறகு பந்து கோப்பையையும் ஆண்கள்
மற்றும் பெண்களுக்கான மேடை வரி பந்தாட்ட கோப்பையையும் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும்
ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய அணியும் இதில் சிறந்த இறகு பந்து வீரராக செல்வன் வல்லரசு மற்றும் சிறந்த மேடை வரி பந்தாட்டக்காரர்களாக செல்வன் ஸ்ரீ பாலாஜி மற்றும் செல்வி மதுமிதா ஆகியோர் தேர்வாகினர். இறுதியில் உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த. நடராஜன் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். இவ்விளையாட்டிற்கான அனைத்து ஏற்பாடுகளையும் விளையாட்டு செயலர் திரு.பா.பார்த்திபன் மற்றும் உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த. நடராஜன் ஆகியோர்கள் செய்து இருந்தனர்.
