76th Independence Day Celebration

The Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam, celebrated the 76th Independence Day on 15.08.2022. Also commemorated 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence in a magnificent manner. The teaching and non-teaching employees of college took part in the programme. The Security Staff Commander, Student’s representative, Asst. Director of Physical Education and the Sports Secretary led the Dean in-charge, Dr. R. Santhakumar, FC&RI, Thoothukudi to the Dias. Security personnel and students formed a guard of honour. The National Flag was hoisted by Dr.R.Santhakumar, Dean in-charge. The National flag was honoured by the College Teaching and Non-teaching Staff as well as Security Personnel. Dr.R.Santhakumar in his Independence Day speech, recalled the progress of India in five themes viz. Freedom struggle, ideas, resolution, action, achievements along with special note on agriculture & fisheries sector and also talked about the achievements accomplished made in our University. He also remembered the patriotic leaders of Thoothukudi districts in his speech. He discussed patriotism in the present-day context. Mr. K. Madhav and Ms. R.Rejeshwari, both III B.F.Sc. students, gave speeches on patriotism in English and Tamil, respectively. At the conclusion, the sweets were distributed. Multipurpose health workers Mr.U.Edwin Kumar and Mrs.S.Suganthi for their best performance in pandemic & the students of this institute who have won medals in National level tournaments were honoured with the appreciation awards. The elocution competition was conducted by displaying 2D images of Unsung freedom fighters. The patriotic heros dress competition was also organized as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahothsav. Dr.R.Shalini, Assistant Professor, Dr. D. Natarajan, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Mr.F.Parthiban, Sports Secretary, FC&RI, Thoothukudi coordinated the entire event.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 76வது சுதந்திர தினவிழா வெகு சிறப்பாக 15.08.2022 அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது இவ்விழாவில் இக்கல்லூரியின்; ஆசிரியர்கள், அலுவலக பணியாளர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ-மாணவிகள் திரளாக கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தனர். இவ்விழாவிற்கு பாதுகாப்பு கமாண்டோ, மாணவ பிரதிநிதி, உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் மற்றும் விளையாட்டு செயலர்; அவர்கள் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் அவர்களை விழா மேடைக்கு அழைத்து வந்தார். அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து பாதுகாப்பு பணியாளர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ-மாணவிகள் அணிவகுப்பு மரியாதையை நிகழ்த்தினார்கள். இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் (பொறுப்பு) முனைவர் இரா.சாந்தகுமார் அவர்கள் நமது தேசிய கொடியை ஏற்றினார். இக்கல்லூரியின் ஆசிரியர்கள்;, அலுவலக பணியாளர்கள் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு பணியாளர்கள் அனைவரும் தேசிய கொடிக்கு மரியாதையுடன் வணக்கம் செலுத்தினர்.

இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் அவர்கள் தனது சுதந்திர தின உரையில் 75வது சுதந்திர தின அனுசரிப்பின் முக்கிய அம்சங்களான சுதந்திர போராட்டம், யோசனைகள், தீர்வுகள், செயல்பாடுகள், சாதனைகள் போன்றவற்றில் இந்தியாவின் முன்னேற்றம் நினைவுகூர்ந்ததோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல் அதனோடு விவசாயம் மற்றும் மீன்வளத்தில் வளர்ச்சி குறித்தும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் மீன்வளப்பல்கலைக்கழத்தின் சாதனைகள் குறித்து விரிவாக விளக்கினார். மேலும் சுதந்திரத்திற்கு பாடுபட்ட தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தைச் சார்ந்த தியாகிகளை போற்றி நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். இன்றைய காலக்கட்டத்தில் நாட்டுப்பற்றை எடுத்துரைத்து பெற்ற சுதந்திரத்தை பேணி காக்க வலியுறுத்தினார். இவ்விழாவில் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு இளங்கலை மீன்வள அறிவியியல் மாணவர் மற்றும் மாணவி செல்வன் மாதவ் மற்றும் செல்வி ராஜேஸ்வரி முறையே ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் தமிழில் சுதந்திர தின உரை நிகழ்த்தினார்கள்.

இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் கொரானா நோய்தொற்று காலங்களில் தூத்துக்குடி மாநகராட்சியின் களப் பணியாளர்களான திரு.எட்வின்குமார் மற்றும் திருமதி. சுகந்தி அவர்களின் திறம்பட செயலாற்றியதற்காகவும், தேசீய அளவில் நடைபெற்ற போட்டிகளில் பங்குபெற்ற இக்கல்லூரியின் மாணவர்களையும் சான்றிதழ்கள் வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார். 75வது சுதந்திர ஆண்டை நினைவுகூறும் வகையில் அறியப்படாத சுதந்திர போராட்ட தியாகளின் உருவப்படங்கள் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டு அதற்கான பேச்சுப் போட்டி நடத்தப்பட்டது.

மேலும் கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் சுதந்திர போராட்ட வீரர்களின் வேடமிட்டும் நாட்டுப்பற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்கள். நிறைவாக இவ்விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்ட அனைவருக்கும் இனிப்பு வழங்கி சிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இவ்விழாவினை முனைவர் இரா.ஷாலினி, உதவிப்பேராசிரியர், உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த.நடராஜன் மற்றும் விளையாட்டு செயலாளர் திரு. பா. பார்த்திபன் ஆகியோர்கள் ஒருங்கிணைத்து சிறப்பாக நடத்தினார்கள்.
