Training on “Breeding and seed production technology of murrel”

Department of Aquaculture, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi organized one day training on “Breeding and seed production technology of murrel” on 17.02.2023. The aim of this training programme is to provide skill based training in breeding of murrel which will pave way for self-employment of the trainees by starting their own farming practices. A total of 38 trainees from various places of Tamil Nadu attended the programme. During this programme, details about importance and biology of murrel, brooder selection, hormonal induction method, breeding, spawn collection, larval rearing techniques, feed and feeding management, economics were explained to participants. Demonstration was also given to the participants on induced breeding of murrel. Dr.B. Ahilan, Dean distributed the certificates to the participants and interacted with the trainees to motivate them to start their venture in murrel farming. Mr. A. Anix Vivek Santhiya, Assistant Professor of this Department organized the training programme and Dr. C. Judith Betsy, Assistant Professor of this Department coordinated the programme. தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் விரால் மீன்களின் இனப்பெருக்கம் மற்றும் குஞ்சு உற்பத்திக்கான தொழில்நுட்பம் குறித்த பயிற்;சி தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின ஒரு அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின்; கீழ் இயங்கி வரும் மீன்வளர்ப்புத் துறையில் “விரால் மீன்களின் இனப்பெருக்கம் மற்றும் குஞ்சு உற்பத்திக்கான தொழில்நுட்பம்” பற்றிய ;பயிற்சி 17.02.2023 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இதில் பல்வேறு மாவட்டத்தை சார்ந்த 38 பயனாளிகள் கலந்துகொண்டு பயன் பெற்றனர். இப்பயிற்சியில் விரால் மீனின் உயிரியல் சினைமீன் தேர்வு செய்தல் ஹார்மோன் செலுத்தும் முறைகள் இனப்பெருக்கம் குஞ்சு சேகரித்தல் குஞ்சுகளை வளர்க்கும் தொழில்நுட்பம் உணவு மற்றும் உணவிடுதல் மேலாண்மை மற்றும் பொருளாதாரம் ஆகியவை பற்றி விரிவாக எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டன. மேலும் கல்லூரியில் உள்ள மீன்வளர்ப்பு பண்ணைக்கு களப்பயணம் மேற்கொண்டு சினைமீன் தேர்வு செய்தல் ஹார்மோன் செலுத்தும் முறைகள் இனப்பெருக்கம் ஆகியவை பற்றி விளக்கம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சியின் நிறைவு விழாவில் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. அகிலன்; அவர்கள் பயிற்சியில் கலந்துகொண்ட பயனாளிகளுக்கு சான்றிதழ்கள் வழங்கி பயனாளிகளுடன் கலந்துரையாடி இப்பயிற்சியின் வாயிலாக பொருளாதாரத்தில் மேம்பட வேண்டும் என்று ஊக்குவித்தார். திரு. அனிக்ஸ் விவேக் சந்தியாஇ உதவிப் பேராசிரியர்; மற்றும் முனைவர் சா. ஜுடித் பெட்ஸிஇ உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் ;மீன்வளர்ப்புத்துறை அவர்கள் இப்பயிற்சியை ஒருங்கிணைத்து விரிவாக நடத்தினர்.
