Faculty Development Program on “Nurturing Entrepreneurship”

Under the funding support of Entrepreneurs Development Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Program (IEDP) – Fisheries Hub, which is being operated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, TNJFU, Thoothukudi, organized a three-day faculty development programme on “Nurturing Entrepreneurship” from 15.03.2023 to 17.03.2023. A total of 40 faculty members from various institutes/colleges of TNJFU as well as those in and around Thoothukudi district took part in the programme and benefited from it. Dr. P. Ganesan, Assistant Professor and Head i/c & Hub Coordinator of IEDP- Fisheries Hub welcomed the gathering. Dr. D. Swaran Victrops Nagson, Master Trainer, EDII, Chennai gave the felicitation address. The Guest of Honour address was given by Mr. S. Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director, MPEDA, Thoothukudi. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, FCRI, Thoothukudi and he requested the participants to make use of the training sessions and insisted that they should encourage the development of student entrepreneurship. The sessions for the faculty development on nurturing entrepreneurship were handled by the Master Trainer from EDII. During his sessions, the trainer briefed the various segments where a person should concentrate before and during working on a business plan, as well as the techniques that should be used to maintain an adopted business. The trainer used real-world analogies throughout the lesson and put the participants through a real-world problem, outlining the scenario and having them come up with a solution with potential business opportunities.

The Valedictory function was conducted on 17.03.2023 and the participants registered their feedback during the valedictory function. Dr. G. Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, TNJFU, Nagapattinam graced the occasion and presided over the event. During his address, he discussed about the scope of entrepreneurship in the fisheries sector and the role of TNJFU in supporting start-ups/entrepreneurs through the schemes such as IEDP- Fisheries Hub, and EDII-MPBIF that are being operated at FCRI, Thoothukudi. Dr. N. V. Sujathkumar, Deani/c, FCRI, Thoothukudi attended the valedictory programme along with the staff of FCRI, Thoothukudi. During his address note, he briefed the operations and support that could be extended to start-ups/entrepreneurs in the processing and export domain. Dr. P. Ganesan, Assistant Professor and Head i/c, Department of Fish Processing Technology organized the whole programme and proposed the vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “புத்தாக்க தொழில் முனைவோர் உருவாக்கத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தொழில் முனைவோர் மேம்பாட்டில் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கான பயிற்சி” (15.03.2023 முதல் 17.03.2023)

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 15.03.2023 முதல் 17.03.2023 புத்தாக்க தொழில் முனைவோர் உருவாக்கத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் சென்னையிலுள்ள தொழில்முனைவோர் மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையத்தின் நிதி உதவியுடன் தொழில் முனைவோர் மேம்பாட்டில் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கான மூன்று நாள் பயிற்சி நடைபெற்றது. இப்பயிற்சியில் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படக்கூடிய பல்வேறு கல்லூரிகளில் இருந்தும் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கீழ்கண்ட பல்வேறு கல்லூரிகளில் இருந்தும் 40 உதவி பேராசிரியர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு பயன் பெற்றனர். காமராஜ் கல்லூரி செயின்ட்;மேரிஸ் கல்லூரி அன்னம்மாள் கல்லூரி வ.உ.சிதம்பரம் கல்லூரி ஏ.பி.சி மகாலட்சுமி கல்லூரி ஹோலிகிராஸ் கல்லூரி செயின்ட் மதர்தெரசா இஞ்சினியரிங் கல்லூரி மற்றும் பிசப் கால்டுவெல் கல்லூரி போன்ற கல்லூரிகளில் இருந்து உதவி பேராசிரியர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு பயன்பெற்றனர். இதன் தொடக்க விழாவில் உதவி பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன்பதன தொழில்நுட்பத்துறை முனைவர். பா. கணேசன் பயிற்சியாளர் முனைவர் ஸ்வரன் மற்றும் கடல்சார் உணவுப்பொருள் ஏற்றுமதி ஆணைத்தின் துணை இயக்குநர் திரு. அசோக்குமார் போன்றோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

இவ்விழாவில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் தலைமையேற்றார். மூன்று நாள் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்ற உதவி பேராசிரியர்களுக்கு மாணவர்களிடையே புதிய ஆராய்ச்சிகளை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்கும் மேலும் தொழில் முனைவில் வெற்றி காண்பதற்கும் தேவையான வழிமுறைகள் பயிற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டன. இதன் நிறைவு விழா 17.03.2023 அன்று மாலை 4 மணி அளவில் நடைபெற்றது. இவ்விழாவில் பயிற்சியாளர்களிடமிருந்து பயிற்சி குறித்த கருத்துக்கள் பெறப்பட்டன. இவ்விழாவில் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார் அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்ததோடு பயனாளர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கினார். அவர் உரையாற்றுகையில் தொழில்முனைவோரை உருவாக்குவதில் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பங்கு குறித்து விளக்கமளித்தார். இவ்விழாவில் துத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் பொறுப்பு முனைவர். ந.வ. சுஜாத்குமார் அவர்கள் பங்கேற்று உரையாற்றினார். இப்பயிற்சியினை ஒருங்கிணைத்த உதவி பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன்பதன தொழில்நுட்பத்துறை முனைவர். பா. கணேசன் அவர்கள் நன்றி உரையாற்றினார்.
