Conducted a Training programme on “Sprouting Entrepreneurship in Marine Products” (08.08.2023 to 10.08.2023) at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

    Under the funding support of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai, the Marine Products Business Incubation Forum (MPBIF), which operates within the Department of Fish Processing Technology (DFPT), Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, organized a three-day skill development training programme on the theme of "Fostering Entrepreneurship in Marine Products." This programme took place from 08.08.2023 to 10.08.2023 and was aimed at benefiting the students of Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Theni.

A total of 54 students from Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Theni, participated in this training programme. The participants received special lectures on entrepreneurship opportunities in the marine products sector, an informative session about the Innovation Voucher Program under the EDII project and insights into the application of Information and Communication Technology in Fish Marketing. Dr. B. Ahilan, the Dean of FCRI, Thoothukudi, delivered an overview of the Fisheries College and Research Institute during a dedicated session.

During the programme, the students had the opportunity to visit and explore the facilities of EDII-MPBIF, DFPT, FCRI, Thoothukudi. They were exposed to various value-added marine products, including bakery items incorporating seaweed, extruded products, pasta variations and fish pickles.

The closing ceremony of the training programme took place on August 10, 2023. During this event, participants provided feedback on the conducted training. Dr. B. Ahilan, the Dean of FCRI, delivered a motivational speech that ignited the concept of entrepreneurship among the participants. He also distributed certificates to the participants. The training was organized by Dr. P. Ganesan, Associate Professor, Head & Project Coordinator of EDII-MPBIF, DFPT, FC&RI, Thoothukudi.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “கடல் உணவுப் பொருட்களில் தொழில் முனைதல் என்ற மூன்று நாள் தொழில்நுட்ப செயல் விளக்கப் பயிற்சி 08.08.2023 முதல் 10.08.2023 வரை நடைபெற்றது.

        தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 08.08.2023 முதல் 10.08.2023 வரை “கடல் உணவுப் பொருட்களில் தொழில் முனைதல்” என்ற மூன்று நாள் தொழில்நுட்ப செயல் விளக்கப் பயிற்சியானது தேனீயில்  உள்ள நாடார் சரஸ்வதி கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல்  கல்லூரியைச் சேர்ந்த 54 மாணவிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சியானது சென்னையிலுள்ள தொழில்முனைவோர் மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையத்தின் நிதி உதவியுடன் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியில் இயங்கி கொண்டிருக்கும் கடல்சார் உணவுப்பொருள் வணிக மையத்தின் வாயிலாக நடைபெற்றது. மூன்று நாள் பயிற்சியின் போது மாணவர்களுக்கு பல்வேறு மதிப்புக்கூட்டிய மீன் உணவுப்பொருட்கள் தயாரிப்பு மற்றும் பொதிகம் செய்வதில் திறன் மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சியின் நிறைவு விழாவில் பங்குபெற்ற பயனாளிகள் பயிற்சி பற்றிய தங்களின் கருத்துக்களை பதிவு செய்தனர். பயிற்சியாளர்களுக்கு முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் முதல்வர் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார். அவர் உரையாற்றுகையில் இது போன்ற பயிற்சியை இந்நிலையத்தில் மேற்கொண்டவர்கள் தற்பொழுது தொழில் முனைவோர்களாக உயர்ந்து கடல் உணவுப் பொருட்களில் வியாபாரத்தை மேற்கொள்வதை எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் தொழில்முனைவில் மாணவர்களின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்தும் விளக்கினார்.  இப்பயிற்சியினை முனைவர் பா. கணேசன் இணைப்பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன்பதனதொழில் நுட்பத்துறை அவர்கள் ஒருங்கிணைத்து நடத்தினார்.
