International Men’s Day Celebration

Every year November 19th is celebrated as International Men’s Day across the globe. On behalf of Students’ Association international Men’s Day was observed on November 16th, 2023 at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. In the view of celebrating International Men’s Day various competitions such as Essay writing and Poem writing in both Tamil and English, Poster making and Debate competition were conducted among the students. The celebration started with the Debate competition, Mr.M.Muruganantham, Assistant Professor, DFPT leaded as judge for the Debate competition. The Valedictory ceremony started with the Welcome Address delivered by Dr.P.Padmavathy , Vice-President of Students’ Association ,followed by a Tamil poem recited by Ms.Sivaranjani , II - B.F.Sc., and special English talk by Ms.Jesu Miraclin , II – B.F.Sc., .Dr.N.V.Sujath Kumar,Dean i/c delivered the presidential address to the gathering. The prizes were distributed to the winners and other participants of various competitions. The programme ended up with the vote of thanks by Mr.A.S.Gokula Krishnan, General Secretary of Students’ Association.
