இணைவழி கருத்தரங்கு - உலக மீன்வளத் தினவிழா 2023

உலக மீன்வளத் தினவிழா 2023 முன்னிட்டு தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூயில் “இந்திய கடல் மீன் வளத்தின் நீடித்த வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் மேலாண்மைக்கான சவால்கள் மற்றும் வாய்ப்புகள்” என்ற தலைப்பில் தேசிய இணைவழி கருத்தரங்கு 21.11.2023 அன்று நடைபெற்றது

    உலக மீன்வள தினமானது 1997ம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நவம்பர் மாதம் 21ம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஊலக மீனவர்கள் மற்றும் மீன்பிடி தொழிலாளர்களுக்கான பேரவையின் 18 நாடுகளின் பிரதிநிதிகள் கலந்துகொண்ட கூட்டமானது புதுடெல்லியில் 1997ம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்றபொழுது மீன்களின் வாழிட அழிவுää பொறுப்பற்ற வரம்புமீறிய மீன்பிடித்தல்ää கடல் மற்றும் உள்நாட்டுமீன் இருப்புகளின் நிலைத்தன்மைக்குஏற்படும் பிற தீவிர அச்சுறுத்தல்கள் குறித்து கவனத்தை ஈர்க்கும் பொருட்டு உலக மீன்வளதினம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இதன் அடிப்படையில் “இந்திய கடல் மீன் வளத்தின் நீடித்தவளர்ச்சி மற்றும் மேலாண்மைக்கான சவால்கள் மற்றும் வாய்ப்புகள்” என்ற தலைப்பில் கருத்தரங்கு 21.11.2023 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இக்கருத்தரங்கில் இத்துறையைச் சார்ந்த பேராசிரியர்கள்ää விஞ்ஞானிகள் மற்றும் வல்லுநர்களைக் கொண்டு கடல் மீன்வளம் மற்றும் நிலையான மீன்பிடிப்பு : எதிர்பார்ப்புகள் மற்றும் வாய்ப்புகள்ää சர்வதேச ஒப்பந்தங்கள் மற்றும் வழிகாட்டுதல் நெறிமுறைகளின் படி நிலைத்தää நீடித்த கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பு மேலாண்மை கடல் மீன் உணவு பொருட்களின் ஏற்றுமதியை ஊக்குவிப்பதில் நீடித்த கடல் மீன் பிடிப்பு முறையின் தாக்கங்கள்ää கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பு தொழிலில் மீனவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கான தீர்வுகளுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறையின் முன் முயற்சிகள்ää மீன் உடலின் நீளம் சார்ந்த குறிகாட்டிகளை கொண்டு தரவில்லாத மீன்வளத்தை மதிப்பீடு செய்தல் போன்ற தலைப்புகளின் கீழ் சிறப்பு விரிவுரையாளர்கள் உரையாற்றினர். சிறப்பு விரிவுரையாளர்களான முனைவர் வை.கி.வெங்கடரமணிää முன்னாள் முதல்வர் (ஓய்வு) முனைவர் மா. ஸ்ரீ ஹரிää மீன்வள விஞ்ஞானிää ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் உணவு மற்றும் வேளாண்மை அமைப்பின் கீழ் சென்னையில் இயங்கும் மண்டல அலுவலகமான வங்காள விரிகுடா கடல் திட்டம் திரு.த.விஜயராகவன் உதவி இயக்குநர் (கடல் மீன்வளம்) தமிழ்நாடு மீன்வளத்துறைää தூத்துக்குடி திரு.க.அறிவுக்கரசுää உதவி இயக்குநர்ää கடல் பொருட்கள் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையம்ää நாகப்பட்டினம்ää திரு.தயால் தேவதாஸ் வேளாண் அறிவியல் விஞ்ஞானிää மத்திய மீன்வள கல்விநிலையம் மும்பை ஆகியோர் வருகை தந்து சிறப்பித்தனர். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேராசிரியர்கள்ää உதவிப்பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணாக்கர்கள் மேலும் 110 பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இக்கருத்தரங்கின் துவக்க நிகழ்ச்சியானது காலை 9.30 மணிக்கு துவங்கியது. முனைவர் ரா.துரைராஜாää உதவிப்பேராசிரியர் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். இக்கல்லூரியின் முன்னாள் முதல்வர் வை.கி.வெங்கடரமணி அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். அதனைத்  தொடர்ந்து இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் துவக்கவிழா உரையாற்றினார். மேலும் அவர் நீலப்புரட்சியை நோக்கிய மீன்வளத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும்ää வளங்குன்றா மீன்வளத்தை நோக்கி முன்னேறும் வழிகளையும் விளக்கினார். மீன்வள உயிரியல் மற்றும் வளமேலாண்மைத்துறையின் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் முனைவர். ந. ஜெயக்குமார் அவர்கள் விழாவிற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்தார். இத்துறையின் உதவிப்பேராசிரியர் முனைவர். ச. சுதன் அவர்கள் தொகுத்து நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார்.

The fisheries fraternity of the world has been organizing the World Fisheries Day on every 21st November since 1997. The Day was created in 1997 when the World Forum on Fish Harvesters and Fisheries Workers met in New Delhi, and the World Fisheries Forum was established with representatives from 18 countries and signed a declaration advocating for a global mandate of sustainable fishing practices and policies. The World Fisheries Day demonstrates solidarity with all fishermen, aquaculture, and affected stakeholders worldwide. The purpose is to draw attention to habitat destruction, overfishing, and other serious threats to the sustainability of marine and inland stocks.

In this connection, a National Webinar on “Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Development and Management of Marine Fisheries in India” was organized by Dr. N. Jayakumar, Professor & Head,in commemoration of the World Fisheries Day’ 23by the Department of Fisheries Biology and Resource Management (DFBRM), Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. In the webinar, five lectures were delivered viz on “Shifting towards sustainable marine fisheries: Challenges & Opportunities”, “Length based indicators for the assessment of data-poor fisheries”, “Implications of sustainable fisheries on promotion of seafood trade”, “Government's initiatives for addressing sustainability issues in marine fisheries sector” and “Towards sustainable fisheries management: Role of International Agreements & Guidelines” delivered by Professors and Eminent Scientists like Dr. V.K. Venkataramani, Adjunct Professor, Th. T. Vijayaraghavan, Assistant Director of Fisheries (Marine), Th. K. Arivukkarasu, Assistant Director, MPEDA, Dr. M. Srihari, Scientist, BOBO-IGO and Mr.Dayal Devadas, Scientists, CIFE. A total of 110 persons including teaching faculty and students took part in the webinar. There was a good deliberation between the experts and participants. Earlier, the inauguration of the workshop was held at 9.30 A.M. Dr. R. Durairaja, Assistant professor, DFBRM welcomed the gathering, Dr. V.K. Venkataramani, Adjunct Professor delivered felicitation address emphasizing that how existing the importance of the marine ecosystem, challenges and opportunities towards sustainable management of the marine fisheries in India and Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi delivered inaugural address, highlighting the theme of the World Fisheries Day’ 23 and emphasizing the importance of aquatic ecosystems and the need for addressing the problems and challenges faced by the stakeholders of the fishing industry. Later, at the end of the webinar, Dr. C. Sudhan, Assistant Professor and Technical Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks served as Master of Ceremony.
