FISHNOVA2023 District level Interschool quiz Competition and Science Exhibition – FC&RI, Thoothukudi

FISHNOVA 2023, District level Interschool quiz Competition and Science Exhibition was
organized by the Science club of Students Association 2023-24at Fisheries College &Research
Institute, Thoothukudi. As per the theme of the national science day 2023,” Global science
for global wellbeing”, exhibition was conducted on 5 themes namely waste reduction
innovations, sustainable food production, carbon foot print reduction, Biodiversity
conservation and Tradition and culture. A total of 31 teams participated in the science
exhibition and 8 teams participated in Quiz Competition. Around 85 students from 8
schools participated.In the valedictory function, Dr. P.Padmavathy, Vice President of students
association welcomed the gathering. Dr.B.Ahilan delivered the Presidential Address and
highlighted the importance of such events for school students. Mrs.L.Regini, Chief Education
Officer, Thoothukudi was invited as the Chief Guest and shared her wisdom to the gathering
and distributed the prizes. Sakthi Vinayakar Hindu Vidhyalaya, and SPIC nagar Higher
Secondary School, Thoothukudi won the first and second prize in quiz competition, respectively.
Mr.A.S.Gokula Krishnan, General Secretary co-ordinated the programme and Ms.Harita Krishnan,
Science Club Secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
