Staff and Students of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi Administered Pledge on “Plastic Free Tamil Nadu” and Trash Walk

Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University has organized a pledge on “Plastic Free Tamil Nadu” as per the direction of Thoothukudi District Administration on 04.10.2018. On this occasion, the Dean Dr.G.Sugumar delivered an awareness talk on the above theme. He insisted all the staff and students to provide their full co- operation in making of this campus plastic free and also requested to put their effort in reducing use of plastic by all means. All staff and students administered the pledge on the above said theme in front of Library at 11.30 a.m. Subsequently, the staff and students of this institute actively participated in the “Trash Walk” for 500metre radius around the institute. The participants removed garbage, debris and non-bio degradable materials found on the road side and disposed there off properly with the help of the Public Health department officials.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “நெகிழி இல்லா தமிழகம்” என்ற தலைப்பில் கல்லூரியில் உள்ள அனைத்து அலுவலர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ-மாணவிகள் 04.10.2018 அன்று உறுதிமொழி ஏற்றனர். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார் அவர்கள் தனது உரையில் அனைத்து அலுவர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ-மாணவிகளுக்கு மேற்கூறிய தலைப்பில் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தினார். மேலும் அவர் கூறுகையில் இக்கல்லூரி நெகிழி இல்லா கல்லூரியாக இருக்க அனைவரும் முழு ஒத்துழைப்பு அளிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொண்டார். அதனைத்தொடர்ந்து அலுவலர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ-மாணவிகள் அனைவரும் இக்கல்லூரியிலிருந்து 500மீட்டர் சுற்றளவில் நடைபயணம் மேற்கொண்டு சாலை ஓரங்களில் காணப்படும் நெகிழிகள்ரூபவ் மக்காத குப்பைகள் போன்றவைகளை பொது சுகாதாரத் துறையின் உதவியுடன் அப்புறப்படுத்தினர்.
