“Challenges of drug abuse among the youth”

Anti-Drug Committee of Fisheries College and Research Institute (FC&RI),
Thoothukudi conducted an awareness program on “Challenges of drug abuse
among the youth” on 15.02.2024.A total of 250 students have participated in the
programme. Mr. S.Mariappan, Assistant Professor, DFTFE, FC & RI, Thoothukudi
welcomed the gathering.Dr. B.Ahilan, Ph.D., Dean, Fisheries College and Research
Institute, Thoothukudi presided over the function and in his presidential address,he
emphasized the harmful effects and the risks associated with drugs. He also stressed
the importance of awareness campaigns about drug abuse among students.Tmt.
Banumathi, ICTC, Counsellor, Government Primary Health Centre, Pudukottai,
Thoothukudi district gave an awareness talk on the ill-effects of drug and alcohol
consumption, in a comprehensive manner.
