Valedictory function of one week training Programme on “Care and Maintenance of fishing boat engine and safety of fishermen at sea to the fishermen of mechanized fishing vessels of Thoothukudi” from 29.02.2024 to 07.03.2024

The Department of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering (DFT&FE) of Fisheries College and Research Institute (FC&RI),a constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University and Tamil Nadu District Skill Development Corporation, Chennai jointly organized a one week on campus training programme on “Care and Maintenance of fishing boat engine and safety of fishermen at sea to the fishermen of mechanized fishing vessels of Thoothukudi” from 29.02.2024 to 07.03.2024. A total of 19 fishermen from Thoothukudi district participated in this training programme. Mr. S. Agnikumar, Inspector of Fisheries, Dept. of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Thoothukudi had arranged the fishermen for the training.  The valedictory function was held on 07.03.2024at 03.30p.m. at the Centre for Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries, Fishing Harbour campus, Thoothukudi. Dr. N. Neethiselvan, Professor and Head, DFT&FE delivered the welcome address. Dr. T. Ravikumar, Assistant Professor, DFT&FE, delivered a talk on various aspects of trainings given during the training programme Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudidelivered the presidential address and distributed the certificates to the trainees.  Dr. N. V. Sujathkumar, Professor and Head, Dept. of Fisheries Extension, Statistics and Economics also attended the function.  Mrs. J. Angel Vijaya Nirmala, Assistant Director, District Skill Development Training office, Thoothukudi  had arranged  funding support from Tamil Nadu District Skill Development Corporation, Chennai.  Mr. S. Mariappan, Assistant Professor, DFT&FE delivered the vote of thanks. Er. A. Antony Michel Prabhakar, Assistant Engineer, Mr. V. Moulin Chandra, Bosun, Research scholar Mrs. S. Archana, Mr. T.Patchaiappan, Mr. V. Raju,Mr. Maria Antony Sudhakar and Mr. R. Sathiyaraj jointly organized the programme.

Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinamand Tamil Nadu District Skill Development Corporation, Chennai jointly have organized a one week on campus training programme on “Care and Maintenance of fishing boat engine and safety of fishermen at sea to the fishermen of mechanized fishing vessels of Thoothukudi” from 29.02.2024 to 07.03.2024.A total of 20 fishermen fromThoothukudidistrictare participating in this training programme. The inaugural function was held on 29.02.2024at 10.30 a.m. at the Centre for Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries, Fishing Harbour campus, Thoothukudi. Honorable Minister of Fisheries, Fishermen Welfare and Animal Husbandry Mr. Anitha R. Radhakrishnan served as the chief guestand participated in the opening ceremony of an Exhibition hall with permanent exhibits on Deep-sea Fishing Technology. Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudiwelcomed the gathering and Dr. N. Neethiselvan, Professor and Head, Department of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering delivered the vote of thanks. 

During the function, a training manual entitled “Care and Maintenance of fishing boat engine and safety of fishermen at sea to the fishermen of mechanized fishing vessels of Thoothukudi” was released by honorable Fisheries Minister and the first copy was received by Tmt. JenittaSelvaraj,Deputy Mayor of Thoothukudi City Municipal. In the presidential address, the honorable minister emphasized the importance of the life - saving appliances to be used during deep sea fishing voyages and explained about different schemes initiated by honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the welfare of fishermen. He also appreciated the college for having conducted many training programmes on “Gillnet fabrication and repairing” for the economic empowerment of fisher women. Mr. M. Prabhu, Revenue Divisional Officer, Thoothukudi delivered felicitation address. Mr. R. Amal Xavier, Joint Director of Fisheries Thoothukudi Mr. Vijayarahavan, Assistant Director of Fisheries Thoothukudi, Members of Fishermen Welfare Society Mr. Antony Stalin and Mr. Jebamalaialso participated in the function. Assistant Professors Dr. T. Ravikumar, Mr. M. Kalayarasan, Mr. S. Mariappan, Er. A. Antony Micheal Prabakar, Assistant Engineer, Mr. V. Moulin Chandra, Bosun, Research scholars Mrs. S. தூத்துக்குடி விசைப்படகு “மீனவர்களுக்கான மீன்பிடி படகு எஞ்சின் பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் கடலில் மீனவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு“ பற்றிய ஓருவார கால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சி

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையானது சென்னையில் அமைந்துள்ள தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகத்தின் சங்கல்ப் திட்டநிதியுதவியுடன் நடத்தும் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட மீனவர்களுக்கான மீன்பிடிப்படகு என்ஜின் பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் கடலில் மீனவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு என்ற ஒருவாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியானது 29.02.2024 முதல் 07.03.2024 வரை நடைபெற்றது. இப்பயிற்சியில் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தைச் சார்ந்த 19 விசைப்படகு மீனவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இதன் நிறைவுவிழாவானது 07.03.2024 அன்று காலை 03.30மணியளவில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்பிடித் துறைமுக வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சிமையத்தில் வைத்து நடைபெற்றது. நிறைவு விழாவிற்கு மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று பயிற்சிபெற்றவர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கினார்.  விழாவில் முனைவர் ந. வ. சுஜாத் குமார் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம் புள்ளியியல் மற்றும் பொருளியியல் துறை அவர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார்.  கல்லூரியின் மீன்பிடி தொழில்நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையின் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் முனைவர் நீ.நீதிச்செல்வன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். திரு. ச. அக்னிகுமார் மீன்வள உதவிஆய்வாளர் பயிற்சியாளர்களைத் தேர்வு செய்தார்.  முனைவர் த. இரவிக்குமார் நடைபெற்ற பயிற்சிகள் பற்றி விளக்கவுரை வழங்கினார்.  திருமதி ஜெ. ஏஞ்சல் விஜய நிர்மலா உதவி இயக்குநர் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட திறன் மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சி அலுவலகம் அவர்கள் நிதியுதவிபெற ஆவன செய்திருந்தார்.  உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் திரு. ச. மாரியப்பன் நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார்.  உதவிப் பொறியாளர் அ. அந்தோணிமிக்கேல் பிரபாகர் போசன் திரு. வி. மொளலின் சந்திரா முதுநிலைஆராய்ச்சியாளர் திருமதி சே. அர்ச்சனா திரு. த. பச்சையப்பன் திரு. வே. ராஜூ- திரு. முரிய அந்தோணி சுதாகர் மற்றும் திரு. இரா. சத்தியராஜ் ஆகியோர் பயிற்சி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களாகச் செயல்பட்டனர்.

தமிழ்நாடுடாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையானது சென்னையில் அமைந்துள்ள தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகத்தின் சங்கல்ப் திட்டநிதியுதவியுடன் நடத்தும் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட மீனவர்களுக்கான மீன்பிடிப்படகு என்ஜின் பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் கடலில் மீனவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு என்ற ஒரு வார கால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியானது 29.02.2024 முதல் 07.03.2024 வரை நடைபெற உள்ளது. இப்பயிற்சியில் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தைச் சார்ந்த 20 விசைப்படகு மீனவர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். பயிற்சியின் துவக்க விழாவானது 29.02.2024 அன்று காலை 10.30 மணியளவில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்பிடித் துறைமுக வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி மையத்தில் வைத்து நடைபெற்றது. துவக்க விழாவிற்கு தலைமையேற்ற மாண்புமிகு மீன்வளம் மீனவர்நலத்துறை மற்றும் கால்நடை பராமரிப்புதுறை அமைச்சர் திருஅனிதா ஆர். இராதாகிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள் பல்வேறு மீன்பிடிமுறைகளை விளக்கும் கண்காட்சி அறையைத் திறந்து வைத்தார். விழாவில் மீன்வளக்கல்லூரிமற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சிநிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நடத்த அக்கல்லூரியின் மீன்பிடிதொழில்நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையின் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் முனைவர் நீ.நீதிச்செல்வன் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார். 
“தூத்துக்குடி விசைப்படகு மீனவர்களுக்கான மீன்பிடிப்படகு எஞ்ஜின் பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் கடலில் மீனவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு“ என்றதலைப்பில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட புத்தகத்தின் முதல் பிரதியை அமைச்சர் அவர்கள் வெளியிட முதல் பிரதியை தூத்துக்குடி மாநகராட்சி துணைமேயர் திருமதி ஜெனிட்டா செல்வராஜ் அவர்கள் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார். மாண்புமிகு அமைச்சர் அவர்கள் தமது தலைமையுரையில் உயிர்பாதுகாப்பு சாதனங்களின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை எடுத்துரைத்தார். கடலில் இருக்கும்போது படகுஎன்ஜினில் பழுது ஏற்பட்டால் மீனவர்களே பழுது நீக்குவதற்கு இப்பயிற்சி மிகவும் உதவியாக இருக்கும் எனவும் கூறினார்.  மீனவர்களின் நலநன பாதுகாக்கவும் அவர்களில் பொருளாதாரத்தை முன்னேற்றவும் மாண்புமிகு தமிழக முதல்வர் அவர்கள் எடுத்துவரும் திட்டங்களைப் பற்றியும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் இப்பயிற்சிமையத்தின் மூலம் மீனவப் பெண்களின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு “செவுள் வலைவடிவமைத்தல் மற்றும் சீரமைப்பு“ என்ற தலைப்புகளில் பயிற்சிகொடுப்பதை மிகவும் பாராட்டினார். தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட வருவாய் கோட்டாச்சியர் திரு எம். பிரபு அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். விழாவில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறையின் இணை இயக்குநர் திரு இரா. அமல் சேவியர் உதவி இயக்குநர் திரு. விஜயராகவன் மீனவ நலவாரிய உறுப்பினர்கள் திருஅந்தோணி ஸ்டாலின் மற்றும் திரு. ஜெபமாலை ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இத்துறையின் உதவிப் பேராசிரியர்கள் முனைவர் த. இரவிக்குமார், திரு. மு. கலையரசன் ,திரு. ச. மாரியப்பன் உதவிப் பொறியாளர் திரு. அ. அந்தோணி மிக்கேல் பிரபாகர், போசன் திரு. வி. மொளலின் சந்திரா முதுநிலை ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் திருமதி சே. அர்ச்சனா திருமதி ஜே. அமலா சஜீவா மற்றும் செல்வி சூ. ஏமிமா மற்றும் அலுவலக பணியாளர்கள் பயிற்சி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களாகச் செயல்பட்டனர்.
