Demonstration on Seaweed cultivation and value addition” conducted from 04.03.2024 to 06.04.2024

Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi organized three days training programme on “Demonstration on seaweed cultivation and value addition” from 04.03.2024 to 06.04.2024 for the benefit of scheduled community. A total of 25 scheduled caste community beneficiaries from the rural area of Thoothukudi attended the training programme. This programme was organized by the Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics of this institute. The valedictory programme was organized on 21.02.2024.Dr. B.Ahilan, Dean presided over the function. He emphasized the importance of seaweed culture and its medicinal and cosmetical value and he insisted the trainees to start seaweed cultivation and marketing. Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Professor and Head, Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics welcomed the gathering. During the training programme, the classes such as seaweeds and its resource potential in Indian sea, cultivable varieties of seaweeds, making of raft for insertion of seaweed seedlings and placement of raft in open sea, identification, habit, classification, biology of seaweeds, techniques of seaweed culture, site selection, water quality and its importance in seaweed farming Harvest, marketing and economics of sea weed farming, demonstration on preparation of  extruded seaweed products, preparation of seaweed incorporated pasta products, preparation of seaweed incorporated bakery products were handled and demonstrated for the benefit of trainees. Dr. G. Arul Oli, Assistant Professor and Project PI organized and the training programme and proposed vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பு மற்றும் மதிப்பூட்டல்” குறித்த மூன்று நாள் தொழில்நுட்ப செயல் விளக்கப் பயிற்சியானது 04.03.2024 முதல் 06.03.2024 வரை அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிலதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் தூத்துக்குடியில் “கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பு மற்றும் மதிப்பூட்டல்;” என்ற தலைப்பில் பட்டியலிடப்பட்ட மீனவ சமூகத்திற்கான பயிற்சி 04.03.2024 முதல் 06.03.2024 வரை வழங்கப்பட்டது. இதில் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட ஊரக பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த பட்டியல் இன சமூகத்தை சார்ந்த மொத்தம் 25 மீனவப்பெண்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இப்பயிற்சியினை மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம் பொருளியல் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறை நடத்தியது.
    இப்பயிற்சியின் நிறைவு விழாவில் தூத்துகுடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப.அகிலன் கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் அதன் மதிப்பூட்டல் குறித்தும் எடுத்துரைத்து கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பினை மேற்கொண்டு வர்த்தகத்திவல் ஈடுபட வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறினார். மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம் பொருளியில் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறையின் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் முனைவர் ந.வ. சுஜாத்குமார் பயிற்சியாளர்களை வரவேற்றார்.
இப்பயிற்சியில் பயிற்சியாளர்களுக்கு இந்தியாவில் கடற்பாசி வளம் வளர்ப்புகேற்ற கடற்பாசி வகைகள் கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்புகேற்ற இடத்தை தேர்வு செய்தல் மிதவைக்கூண்டுகளில் கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பு கடற்பாசி வகைகளை கண்டறிதல் மற்றும் அதன் உயிரியல் பண்புகள் கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பு தொழில்நுட்பம் கடற்பாசி வளர்ப்பில் நீரின் தரம் கடற்பாசி அறுவடை மற்றும் பொருளாதாரம் கடற்பாசி மதிப்பூட்டலில் கடற்பாசி சேர்த்த பேக்கரி பொருட்கள் மற்றும் பாஸ்தா பொருட்கள் தயாரிப்பு குறித்த செயல் விளக்கப்பயிற்சிகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது. மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம் பொருளாதாரம் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறையின் உதவிப்பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் கோ. அருள் ஓளி நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார்.
