International Women’s Day Celebration

Every year March 8th is celebrated as International Women’s Day across the globe. On behalf of Students’ Association International Women’s Day was observed on March 8th , 2024 at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. In the view of celebrating International Women’s Day various competitions such as Tamil and English Essay writing and Poem writing, Poster making and Tamil Debate competition were conducted among the students. The celebration started with the  Debate competition, Dr.N.Neethiselvan, Professor & Head ,DFE&FT leaded as judge for the Debate competition. The Valedictory ceremony started with the Welcome Address delivered by Mr.M.Muruganantham , Vice-President (i/c) of Students’ Association ,followed by a special address by Dr.N.Neethiselvan, Professor & Head ,DFE&FT. Dr.B.Ahilan ,Dean delivered the presidential address to the gathering. Then Chief Guest Dr.S.Shassi, Deputy Director, MPEDA-SRD-Tuticorin delivered her chief guest address ,highlighting about the qualities of women and their importance in the society. The prizes were distributed to the winners and other participants of various competitions. The programme ended up with the vote of thanks by Mr.A.S.Gokula Krishnan, General Secretary of Students’ Association.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியில் சர்வதேச மகளிர் தின விழா

உலகம் முழுவதிலும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மார்ச் 8ஆம் நாள் சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினமாக கொண்டாபடுகிறது. தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மாணவர் சங்கம் சார்பாக மகளிர் தினம்  மார்ச் 8 2024 அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. இவ்விழாவினை முன்னிட்டு மாணவர்களிடையே தமிழ் ஆங்கிலம் கட்டுரை கவிதை ஓவியம் வரைதல் பட்டிமன்றம் ஆகிய போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. திரு. மு. முருகானந்தம் மாணவர்ச் சங்க துணை தலைவர் (பொறுப்பு) வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றினார் அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து பட்டிமன்ற நடுவர் முனைவர். நீ. நீதி செல்வன் அவர்கள் மகளிர் தின சிறப்புரை ஆற்றினார். முனைவர் ப. அகிலன் கல்லூரி முதல்வர் அவர்கள் தனது  தலைமையுரையில் மகளிர் முன்னேற்றத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை விளக்கினார். அதன் பிறகு சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் முனைவர் S. ஷஸ்ஸி,  துணை இயக்குநர் கடல் பொருள் ஏற்றுமதி வளர்ச்சி ஆணையகம். தூத்துக்குடி தனது உரையில் பெண்களின் உயர் குணங்களையும் சமூகத்தில் அவர்களின் முக்கியதுவத்தையும் பற்றி கூறினார். பல்வேறு போட்டிகளினல் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. மாணவர் சங்க பொதுச் செயலாளர் திரு. ஆ. செ. கோகுல் கிருணன் நன்றியுரையுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி இனிதே நிறைவுப்பெற்றது.
