World Fisheries Day 2018 Celebrated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

As a part of commemoration of World Fisheries Day celebration, one day awareness programme on “Fisheries and Aquaculture” among school students, poster making competition on the theme “Conservation of Aquatic Resources’ and slogan making contest on “Responsible Fishing” were conducted among the students of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. This programme was organized by the Department of Aquaculture, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi.

Awareness Programme conducted

In this Awareness programme, a total of 40 students from Good Shepherd Model School participated and benefitted. Lectures were delivered to the students on the general introduction of health benefits of Seafood consumption and Fisheries resource of India and World. Students were also taken to Freshwater Fish Farm and ornamental unit including museum for field exposure and hands-on training on freshwater fish culture.

Valedictory Function

Dr.C.Judith Betsy, Asst. Prof. offered welcome address. Dr.S.Athithan, Vice- President, Students’ Association delivered Vice-President Address. In the valedictory function, all the staff and students were administered the pledge of the World Fisheries Day. Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean i/c in his presidential address highlighted the depletion of fisheries resources in marine and freshwater through overexploitation and unsustainable fishing methods. Besides, he emphasized on the conservation and management of fisheries resources and awareness on Fisheries and aquaculture among youth and fisher community. Miss. M.Neethu, Teaching Assistant (Contractual) proposed vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் “உலக மீன்வள தினம்” கொண்டாடப்பட்டது

தமிழ்நாடு மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் ஒர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் உள்ள மீன்வளர்ப்புத்துறை மூலமாக “உலக மீன்வள தினம்” சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடும் விதமாக “மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீன்வளர்ப்பு” குறித்த ஒரு நாள் விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சி பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்குரூபவ் கல்லூரி மாணவ - மாணவிகளிடையே சுவரொட்டி வரையும் போட்டி மற்றும் சுலோகம் உருவாக்குதல் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

சுவரொட்டி வரையும் போட்டி

உலக மீன்வளர்ப்போர் தினம் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடும் விதமாக மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மாணவ-மாணவிகளிடையே “நீர்வளங்களை பாதுகாத்தல்” என்ற தலைப்பில் சுவரொட்டி வரையும் போட்டி நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்போட்டியில் கீழ்க்கண்ட மாணவர் வெற்றியாளர்களாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்.

• முதல் பரிசு - செல்வன் விஷால் இளங்கலை 2ம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்
• இரண்டாம் பரிசு - செல்வன் சகத்pவேல் இளங்கலை 1ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்
• மூன்றாம் பரிசு - செல்வி வைனேஸ்வரி இளங்கலை 2ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்

மேலும் “பொறுப்புள்ள மீன்பிடிப்பு” என்ற தலைப்பில் சுலோகம் உருவாக்குதல் போட்டியும் (தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலத்தில்) நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்போட்டியில் கீழ்க்கண்ட மாணவர் வெற்றியாளர்களாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்.

தமிழ்:

• முதல் பரிசு - செல்வன் ராஜ்குமார் இளங்கலை 3ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்
• இரண்டாம் பரிசு - செல்வன் நந்தகோபால் இளங்கலை 2ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்
• மூன்றாம் பரிசு - செல்வன் சதீஸ்;குமார்ரூபவ் இளங்கலை 2ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்

ஆங்கிலம்

• முதல் பரிசு - செல்வி அபர்ணா இளங்கலை 2ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்
• இரண்டாம் பரிசு - செல்வி கமலி இளங்கலை 3ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்
• மூன்றாம் பரிசு - செல்வன் ராஜ்குமார் இளங்கலை 3ம் ஆண்டுமாணவர்

வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களை கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்கள் வெகுவாக பாராட்டினார்கள்.

விழிப்புணர்வுநிகழ்ச்சி :

இந்தவிழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சியில் தூத்துக்குடியில் உள்ள நல்மேய்ப்பர் மாடல் பள்ளியிலிருந்து மொத்தம்
40 மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்று பயனடைந்தனர். இதில் மனித நலத்தில் மீனின் முக்கியத்துவம், உலக அளவில் மீன்வள
ஆதாரங்களின் தற்போதைய நிலை மற்றும் மீன் உற்பத்தி முறைகள் போன்ற விளக்கவுரைகளும் எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டன. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் உள்ள மீன்வளர்ப்பு பண்ணைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டு நன்னீர் மீன் வளர்ப்பு முறைகள் குறித்த செயல் விளக்கமும் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

நிறைவு விழா:

நிறைவு விழாவில் முனைவர் ஜீடித் பெட்ஸிஉதவிப் பேராசிரியர் வரவேற்புரைஆற்றினார். முனைவர். சா. ஆதித்தன் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் உலக மீன் வள தினத்தை கொண்டாடுவதின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை எடுத்துக் கூறி உரையாற்றினார். கல்லூரி முதல்வர்(பொ) முனைவர்.ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் நிகழ்ச்சியை துவக்கி வைத்து தலைமை உரை ஆற்றினார். அவர் தனது உரையில் வளங்குன்றா மீன்வள மேலாண்மை முறைகள் பின்பற்றப்படாததால் நன்னீர் மற்றும் கடல்சார் வளங்கள் குறைந்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன என்றும் மீனவ சமுதாயம் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களிடையே மீன்வளப் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் மேலாண்மை முறைகள் குறித்தவிழிப்புணர்வு இருத்தல் வேண்டும் என்றும் விரிவாக எடுத்துக் கூறினார். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியின் இறுதியில் செல்வி. நீத்து நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் உலக மீன்வள தினத்திற்கான உறுதி மொழியை மாணவர்கள்ஆசரியர்கள் மற்றும் அலுவலர்கள் எடுத்தனர்.
