Investiture Ceremony at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi
The Students’ Association of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi for the year 2020 - 21 was inaugurated on 03.03.2021 at the Kayal Kalaiarangam of this institute. Dr.A.Palanisammi, Dean, Veterinary College & Research Institute, Tirunelveli was the Chief Guest. He spoke on the importance of discipline and building character for life while at college and urged students to contribute to the society.
Dr.B.Sundaramoorthi, Dean and President of the Students’ Association presided over the function and in his presidential address, he congratulated the office bearers for taking up the responsibility and assured of administrative support. He urged the students to set clear goal, believe in them and perform to their potential to serve the community and to themselves. The real strength of individuals lies not in independence but in interdependence he said. Dr.S.Athithan, Vice-President of the Students’ Association administered the oath of office for the newly elected office bearers of the Students’ Association and welcomed the gathering. Mr. M.Robert, took over as General Secretary, Mr.K.Gowtham as Games Secretary, M.Vishal as Literary Association Secretary, Mr.K.Gopi as NSS Secretary, Miss S.Krishnaveni as Editor of Seagull Magazine, Miss G.Harini as Science Club Secretary and Mr. V.Jefflin Steve as Joint Secretary.
The installation ceremony was followed by colorful display of cultural programme by students. Mr. M.Robert, General Secretary, Students’ Association proposed a vote of thanks.
