International Women’s Day (08.03.2021)
The International Women’s Day was celebrated at College of Fisheries Engineering,
Nagapattinam on 08 th March, 2021 at Seminar Hall of college premises. A warm welcome address was
given by Mr. S. Ezhilarasu, IV Year B.Tech (FE).The Chief Guest address on Women’s day was
delivered by Dr. R. Rajendran, Dean i/c, College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapattinam. During his
speech, he emphasized the role of Women and appreciated the efforts of Teaching and non-teaching
Women faculty members for developing this Institute. Following this, a song on Women Empowerment
was sung by S. Ram Sundar, I Year B.Tech (FE). The Cake cutting Ceremony during this occasion
along with Teaching, Non-teaching and girls’ student was also organized. The Women’s were honoured
by Dr. R. Rajendran, Dean i/c during this event by distributing gifts. The speech on Women’s Day was
delivered by T. Kaviponni, I Year B.Tech (FE) and M. Jeevadharshini, I Year B.Tech (EEE). During
this ceremony, a video on role of Women in society was dedicated to all the women. All teaching, non-
teaching, contractual staff and student actively participated in the women’s day celebrations and
performed motivational speeches, songs, dance performance and fun games. Finally, Ms. K. Geetha, IV
Year B.Tech (FE) proposed the Vote of thanks and concluded the celebrations. The event was organized
by Er.D.Babiyola, Assistant Professor, DBE, CoFE, Nagapattinam.
