The 9th Meeting of the Planning Board of TNJFU was held on hybrid mode at Conference Hall, IFPGS, Vaniyanchavadi, Chennai, on 26.07.2025. The following Planning Board members, Prof. Baskaran Manimaran, Dr. Chadag Vishnumurthy Mohan, Dr. M. Krishnan, Dr. A.R. Thirunavukkarasu, Dr. Ramakanth Akula, and Dr. Basanta Kumar Das, were present in the meeting. Dr. P. Chidambaram, Registrar, Dr. N. Jayakumar, Director of Research i/c., Dr. S. Balasundari, Dean (Academics) and Dr. A. Uma, Dean i/c., IFPGS attended the meeting as Special Invitees. Dr. N. Felix, Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU & Chairman of the Planning Board of TNJFU, welcomed the members and special invitees to the IX Planning Board Meeting. Following the presentation on the Action Taken Report on the minutes of the Eighth Planning Board Meeting, the Vice-Chancellor presented the agenda of the 9th planning board. All the members present in the meeting gave their insights for accomplishing the tasks proposed as the agenda. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of strategic planning in enhancing the university’s role in fisheries education, research, & extension and assured that the recommendations from the 9th planning board meeting would be given due consideration and implemented in a time-bound manner.
