Dr. S. Felix, Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU sworn in as the president of World Aquaculture Society’s Asian Pacific Chapter at a grand ceremony in Taiwan on 25th April 2018 after winning the presidential election last year. With a massive support from various scholars, scientists and academicians across the world he has reached this position. Vice-Chancellor while attending the Annual Board Meeting with the outgoing President Dr. Guillaume Drillet and the Board Members took charge as a President. Vice-chancellor thanked the people who voted him to become the President of the society. "It was a great moment for me and my country, I am completely humbled by the responsibility and looking forward to serve the fisheries fraternity and getting to work right away”, Dr. S. Felix said. Vice-Chancellor also thanked the outgoing President for his efforts during his tenure. Dr. S. Felix is the first person in the hot seat from India to reach this prestigious position
